  1. Add external certifications to Xero Payroll profiles:

    Hello again Karolin,
    My query was not about being certified with Xero, but that I have been certified for Safety Training and have it listed against my Xero Payroll Profile, this would keep all staff certifications in one place.

    (Providing the link for Xero Certification is off the mark from what my query was, however it would be quite a good idea to do Xero Certification and keep it in the same payroll profile once done, then I can have TWO by certifications in the one place....)

    Hi there 👋, appreciate you sharing your idea in community. Just to make sure I understand correctly when you say you'd like to add external certifications to the payroll profile - would this be that you'd like to attach a document of the certification to an employee that you process payroll for on Xero?

    If so, we have a larger idea that I'll merge you in with across here and if there is any progress surrounding this we'll update everyone about.

  2. Writing a void check and card number to my account safely and protected and every camera shoot or label for seasons as different styles of dress codes it also sells the outfits faster then just one item and you have an advisoer or acounter to withdraw in my account and I pay bills as I go and be on pay roll and fix this idea project process and broadcast modeling also for this business builds.

    Not sure I quite understand your idea and where you'd like to see change in Xero to help your business here, Kate. If you can come back to share more detail of what you'd like to see changed that'll help when sharing back with the team, and for others that may also be interested in this through the community. 

  3. An option within the employee page, once selected, to send app notification reminders that timesheets are due by specific date/time.

    Hey folks, thanks for the idea and support here. We appreciate all the valuable feedback and ideas shared regarding timesheet reminders ⏰
    We understand that the ability to easily remind employees to fill out timesheets would make things easier and save you time.
    Our product team is currently investigating potential solutions for this but at this early stage there are no specific time frames available. We’ll be sure to let you know if there’s any change, though!

  4. I want to be able to create a new leave policy but there is currently no functionality for this. The existing leave policies are limited and do not allow for leave to be loaded from a specific date, only the start anniversary or 1st Jan, or to be accrued gradually. I have some clients who set their leave from the first date of their financial year eg. 1st May each year. It would be useful to either have this leave policy loaded by Xero for provide the ability to create new leave policies.

  5. It would be really useful for those of us in the UK if we could run a report to calculate holiday pay based on a 52 week average. Legally this has been a requirement since 2020.

    Hi everyone, thanks for your ongoing interest and support for this idea.

    We understand the complexities surrounding calculating holiday pay for employees in the UK, and acknowledge the need to provide a helpful way to calculate an accurate rate in which to pay out their holiday.

    Our product team are excited to share that this is an area we are currently looking into developing.

    Your feedback and ideas are extremely important to us. As such, we’d like to reach out to our valued community members to get involved in prototype testing, commencing later this month.

    The testing will involve using a prototype tool to assess the usability of a proposed way of calculating Holiday Pay in Xero. We'd encourage users that feel strongly about this area of payroll to sign up and welcome users of all experience levels.

    Given the popularity of this idea we expect spaces to fill up…

  6. I would like Xero to automatically lock the ABN on a client's file after the first STP event has been lodged. This will prevent clients changing the ABN when they change the entity's structure and reporting STP incorrectly across two ABNs. Undoing this mess is a nightmare.

    We're currently looking at ways we could help fix double counting for issues at the ATO that have been made due to changes made to an organisation's ABN/Branch number and it'd be great to get input and further feedback from some of you here to help us understand and solve these issues.

    Thanks for confirming, Andy - Really appreciate the screenshot. 🙂

    I've checked in with our Payroll team where this detail is saved.
    We appreciate wanting more options for gender when entering personal details, and in some regions such as AU & NZ this is optional.
    Currently, in order to ensure successful payroll filings with HMRC in the UK, we need to match the schema they provide. That said, our team are reassessing how this fits in Xero so I'll shift this Idea to 'under review' and can share any updates that come.

  8. Ability to record an annual shutdown leave.

    Purpose: Payroll admin can easily record annual shutdown leave when they need to make a calculation around separating employee’s anniversary dates and start dates.
