Notification - Reminder to employee to enter Timesheets

An option within the employee page, once selected, to send app notification reminders that timesheets are due by specific date/time.

Hey folks, thanks for the idea and support here. We appreciate all the valuable feedback and ideas shared regarding timesheet reminders ⏰
We understand that the ability to easily remind employees to fill out timesheets would make things easier and save you time.
Our product team is currently investigating potential solutions for this but at this early stage there are no specific time frames available. We’ll be sure to let you know if there’s any change, though!

    can we get an update on this Hannah, it seems like it shouldn't be to hard considering you can push invites to the linked emails etc

    This is a no brainer. Please consider adding this asap. Currently we require use of a third party application to remind staff to complete a task in your app.
    Not a good system.

    Absolutely agree, this is a critical matter for us. Our suggestion being a reminder when you go to log out of Xero, to ensure you have completed your timesheet.

    This would seem like pretty basic feature which would assist both payroll and employees in getting pay done efficiently and on time.

    I don’t know why this wouldn’t already be on option? It’s 2024 and Ai exists… a notification reminder feature seems like one of the first most simple features that should have had in the first place really. Beneficial for all using and good for Xero aswell

    This is a no-brainer. I'm spending more time reminding people to submit their timesheets and holidays than actually performing the pay-run.
    Please provide this function!

    **YES PLEASE**
    the time I waste chasing staff to submit their timesheets so I can pay them does my head in!!
    If they could get a reminder Wednesday night and again Thursday moring this would be a game changer for many I believe.

    I suspect everyone who has ever worked is familiar with the unnecessary and shamefully routine exchange reminding people to do their time sheet (I'm a regular on both sides of that exchange!). I was surprised this wasn't already 'baked in' to the original design - the system knows when they're due, by whom, and if it hasn't been done on time. Sending out a reminder on the final day would be a such a simple and obvious help to a small business owner using Xero– and to their employees!

    Reminding employees to use the XERO me function is so time consuming for small business, it needs to be a setting the organisation can select 'remind every Wednesday at 3pm' send to all employees.

    No excuse to not fill it out then!

    Needed, frankly this should be an expected and required feature the cost for payroll is already high enough for subscribers without the added issue of chasing staff to do timesheets.

    We are required to lodge our STP reports every week and on the date of payroll, how can an employer remain compliant & their payroll fully reconciled without having to run unscheduled payruns every week to make up for staff who don't do timesheets on time?

    Please add Timesheet reminders, it is a simple and easy way to remind all staff including those who may be away the day prior when everyone is verbal reminded.

    It is a tedious task trying to get everyone to fill in their timesheets is to the point you don't want to pay them because then maybe they will do it.
