  1. Can you please add a final Totals line at the bottom of the BAS Transactions by Tax Rate report on the new BAS showing Gross, GST & Net, like you had for the GST Audit Report as this was very helpful in our reconciliation?

  2. Browse all transactions on the "Inventory item list" report, it will also be helpful to reveiw in & out movement and can double check with other source.

  3. I have had to re-run a payroll before when an employee's pay has been incorrectly calculated. When you re-run the payroll, XeroMe did not update with the new payslip information. Surely this should happen automatically.

    Xero Me should actually already behave as you've described - any changes to a posted pay run will generate a new payslip for each employee. 


    I'd recommend raising this one with our support team, as they'll be able to assist with troubleshooting. We'll close this idea off as delivered in the meantime.

  4. The Trust - Annual Accounts Xero SPFR template for trusts > Notes to the Financial Statements > 1.     Hi Judy, sorry it's been a long time to loop back on this one but I've just followed up with the team and can confirm that in the UK version of Xero Central searching for 'new starter' will return the Add an employee article in the results. Note that results can differ between individuals due to the search engine personalising results.

  6. If Xero could remember the last dates you input on the Balance Sheet and P&L, when you are flicking around to other pages it would save having to reenter them every time you go back to those reports. At the moment it seems to choose it's own default, which I think may be last year end.

  7. Business owners need to see the P&L and the Cash in one place. Please combine the P&L and the Statement of Cash Flows into one report so they can be viewed together.

    This is how it is in professional 3 statement financial models: P&L with Cash flows directly below.

    Providing a combo report would save many hours in combining them manually!

  8. I have a suggestion for Invoicing improvement.

    I produce about 30 repeating invoices per week which appear as drafts. In order to spread my work flow the drafts 'arrive' over each weekend ready to be finalised and sent out each Tuesday and Wednesday. The draft invoice carries the invoice date (say a Sunday), which I then have to modify to reflect the actual date (say a Tuesday). It would be helpful to me if the Xero automatically recalculated the payment due date when I input the modified invoice date.

  9. Currently, when the Payroll Activity Detail report downloads to PDF, it includes deductions (including those that are not salary-sacrificed super) and reimbursements. However, when the Excel report is downloaded, those lines are missing. Please include everything that's in the PDF version in the Excel version.

  10. We are a meadery that often sells mead in kegs. This idea would also apply to breweries.

    I use a "Keg" inventory item to track the physical keg shells. I use a separate item for the product inside the keg. So an invoice for one keg will show two items: the mead itself and the keg. This helps me keep track of our physical kegs on hand, weather they are full or empty.

    When a client returns a keg, they receive a credit note for returning the keg. In addition to getting their deposit back, this keeps my inventory correct.

  11. Year-End Change:

    If I want to change the year end on Xero say from September to June so that I have a 9 month year from Sept-Jun and then the new 12 month year starts Jul-Jun, is there functionality for this on Xero?

    For example: I did change the year end where I know to do it on the settings, but it doesn't create the 9 month reporting period like Pastel always did, it immediately makes the year Jul-Jun without that 9 month interim time and now it throws my year-end journals a bit messed up...

    May be good for your to raise a case with our specialists for more individual direction on conversion dates, Danielle. 

    From the sounds you'd like to be able to enter data for date prior to 'starting on Xero'. This is generally facilitated via the comparatives and entering Manual Journals for dates prior to the orgs conversion date - We have some help on picking a conversion date and troubleshooting conversion balance on Xero Central

  13. The font size for Xero reports has increased - great - much easier for clients to read their annual accounts. However, when Exporting to PDF from the Draft reports, it previews it in the default size, which is often the wrong size. In order to preview the reports as they will print, you have to publish the report, note where you need to move/add page breaks, then delete the published report and go back into the draft report to make those layout changes. This adds an extra 5 minutes or so on to every job which is not necessary.

While it may not be obvious, for Xero Partners or staff connected to a Practice there's an option to adjust and change the font size of your reports by selecting 'Styled PDF' when exporting new reports from Xero - Detail here will help in setting & managing  your Report Styles.

    If not already you use Advisor Connect to find a Xero Partner that can meet your business needs.

  14. We need a running total added within each supplier to these reports as it is very frustrating when trying to balance to supplier statements or allocate a payment.

  15. When sending an invoice it would be great to have the option via checkbox to also send a statement as an attachment. The idea is that a customer can see the new invoice and any outstanding invoices in 2 attachments.

Changes in Equity Report: When I pull off a Changes in Equity Report for the end of February (2023) how about making the report pull up the report for the year requested rather than the year before? I understand the report has been designed like this so how about changing the design? Or the design team?

  18. Trial Balance - Compare Tracking. Ability to have tracking added to the formats in the same way that you can do for profit and loss in the left hand column. Being able to use the layout editor for trial balance would also be very useful.

    Hi community, you'll see we've just released a new General Ledger Summary and Detail reports. 

    While a slightly different report you'l find you can get what you're asking for here by running the General Ledger Detail report which has an option to include any Tracking categories that you've set up in your organisation as columns in the report. You can also Filter by Tracking too. 

  19. Could you please change the name on the Payroll Activity Details for Leave Loading Please. Not sure why you call it Annual Leave. It seems to be in the background and I can't change it. See picture attached.

    Hi Alex, you'll find this is now possible. The different VAT rates used in the invoice will be shown as subtotals beneath the total invoice amount. With the updates that our team have made to the send experience your customers will also be able to see a quick view breakdown of this in the email they receive 🙂
