  1. Unlimited favourite reports on dropdown menu as previously existed.
    The new dashboard only allows for 20. It's disappointing that we have less functionality in this area.

    Hi team, pleased to share that we've had a quick turn around here. We appreciate there are some organisation's that customise and favourite multiple reports and would like these easily accessible from the Reporting menu. We have added the ability to favourite >20 reports and make these available from the Reporting menu.

    While there's no limit now to the # of reports you can favourite - for ease of access we'd recommend regularly reviewing and limiting the number of reports you favourite in your organisation.

  2. With the new Navigation menu, the Search for an Organisation will only appear once you have gone into more than four Organisations on the one day - per response from Xero Support:
    "Currently, the Search option to swap between organisation only appear if you've recently accessed four or more organisation from your Xero HQ.
    So, it may happen that at the start of the day you won't have the search option, but once you have accessed four or more organisation from Xero HQ you will get the Search option."

    Hi everyone, I wanted to share that our team have resolved the issue that was raised with this idea. All users should find they can view and use the Search option from the blue navigation when wanting to change organisations 😁Again, thanks for sharing with us here!

  3. Would like to be able to select multiple draft bills to review. Then once you have posted the current bill it opens the next one to review and process until all have been processed. Going back to draft bills each time is time consuming.

    Hi team, we really appreciate your feedback and getting to know the new navigation.

    We want to confirm with the Tax menu in Xero's new navigation GST Return will be available, or the relevant Sales Tax report for your organisation's region (e.g Activity Statement in AU, VAT Return for UK).

    As you can with favoriting reports, it'll also be possible to favourite and show this report from the Reporting menu if you choose.

  5. Set the calendar to Sunday to Saturday for everything, including Invoices. - Xero recently changed the Calendar for only the invoices. The week day now starts on Monday. I was informed this change was intentional and is currently not going to be changed back. Credit Notes, Recurring payments, quotes, bills, reports, literally everything else has the week starting on Sunday. This is very cumbersome for our business. My staff are constantly putting the wrong date on invoices. We operate at very high speeds because we have a lot of customers come in at a time, and a lot to do…

    Hi team, we appreciate all the feedback we've received on the invoice calendar here. I want to confirm that our team have released an update and you'll find the calendar now runs Sunday - Saturday consistently with other areas of Xero. Thank you again for feeding back with us, here.

  6. Please make it so that the user can begin typing immediately upon pressing the Search Magnifying Glass Icon. The new Search Magnifying Glass Icon button for this prototype needs to be manually clicked on twice before anything can be typed in via keyboard due to the cursor not automatically placing itself inside the search box that pops up. This is bad.

    Hi team, as you may have noticed we've made an update within the new navigation, and you'll now find that your cursor will automatically default to the Search field when you click on the magnifying glass icon from the blue navigation menu. 😊

  7. I would prefer Projects to remain with its own Menu dropdown on the Homepage, not included under the Sales menu. I like the introduction of the "Expenses to review" and "Recent Invoice payments", but I would prefer to see them as a sub-menu from the Homepage dropdowns, not on the homepage.

    We appreciate receiving feedback on how adding Projects to the main navigation would be useful to you.

    As you may have noticed this is something our Product team paid close attention to and you'll find if you use Projects it is now its own menu on the new navigation experience.

  8. The “Favourite” feature in the Reporting section is excellent, please consider expanding this to other dropdowns or sections across the platform.

    This could help address the long-standing need for sub-menu shortcuts or easier navigation, especially for commonly used tools like Repeating Invoices or the Chart of Accounts.

    Note: historically, I’ve used browser bookmarks as a workaround for this. However, recent updates seem to have made these bookmarks unreliable, some now fail to link correctly, and this issue appears to be getting worse. I fear with this update It may no longer be viable to rely on bookmarks as quick links.

    Hi community, thanks for your feedback here! Chart of accounts page is now available within the Accounting menu 😊

    In terms of bookmarks you may have saved, there's a chance with the change some bookmarks may have stopped working - In this scenario you should be able to bookmark the page again and it'll work in the new experience.

  10. I suggest on putting "Send to MyInvois" button instead of copy and paste the e-mail MyInvois@invoi.ci for every invoice. This is too troublesome.

    Hi Maggie, after checking back in with our product team I wanted to confirm - though not a specific button in itself you could add the email address on the Contact record. If you select to 'Include in emails' the email will appear each time you're creating an invoice for that contact, saving you from having to copy & paste.

    You can already group by Account Type in the Trial Balance report, Chitrang! 🙂 Simply click the Grouping/Summarising option within the report where you'll see Account type as an option.

  12. Would love to see the Accounting menu split so that there are new menus for Reporting & Bank Accounts. Show under the Accounting menu all the actions (journals, fixed assets, chart of accounts, advanced accounting, plus favourites). Then a separate menu for Reporting - listing the different reporting sections Adviser, Custom, Drafts, Archived etc. plus favourites). And a separate menu for Bank Accounts (reconciliation report, bank accounts, bank rules, etc).

    Thanks again for your feedback through the idea here. We appreciate there are many different ways our customers feel menus and ways to navigate Xero features and products would best serve their needs.

    There was lots of research behind the top level menus that you now have with Xero's new navigation experience - As requested here you'll find Reporting is now it's own menu. And, while Bank Accounts are within the Accounting menu, you'll find we've added quick options for Bank Rules, through the new Homepage which is coming soon you can quickly access reconciliation reports, manage the account, or enter transactions.

  13. Please can you include an option on the invoices for payment due date -28 days. We have an option for 7 and 14 days but the majority of our invoices are 28 days from invoice date.

    This is possible from within the Invoice Settings page, Emily 😊 From here there is an option to set Invoice due date based on days after the invoice date, where you can enter a number anywhere between 0 - 99.

  14. Ability to generate Profit and Loss reports that show each month what the moving annual (12 monthly) total (MAT) is, so that an understanding of trends to income and expenditure items is over time.

    This should be possible with the ability to add custom Date columns in the reports layout editor, Geoff.

    It does require a bit of manual set up, however you could add columns for say 1 Jan - 28 Feb, 1 Jan - 31 March and so forth so you can see the accumulative total across months.

  15. It would be nice to have automatic bank statement transfers, as a customer why I got Xero is to spend less time with these manual things and let my bookeeper handle everything. But now I still have to manually email 10 statements a month to Hubdoc and that is still precious time lost on things I hate to do

  17. KEYBOARD ACCESS IN ALL FIELDS IS CRITICAL
    Xero users know how a keyboard works and I'm sure many find its use preferential to having to continuously move a hand to the mouse to engage dropdown menus. This needs to be available in all areas of Xero.

    Hi team, from the payments window when you're on the Account field if you press 'Enter' on your keyboard this will open the field. From here you can type to search and select the bank you'd like.

  18. Please give the option to import a list of new accounts to add to the existing Chart of Accounts.
    We have created a new department with a couple dozen new accounts.
    I'd like to be able to upload from a csv file rather than entering one by one manually since I already have the listed in a spreadsheet.
    Currently, the only option is to reimport the entire Chart of Accounts with the new accounts added to the list. To me that is an unnecessary risk of overwriting hundreds of existing accounts.

    Appreciate your interest in this idea, team. I want to confirm that it's possible to import multiple new accounts to your existing chart of accounts through the use of a CSV import.

    You'll want to export your existing chart of accounts, where you can add the new ones to the sheet. Save this as CSV, then re-import to your organisation - We have information on importing to your chart of accounts here, and you can test in the demo company if you'd like to try this out and view the results first.

  20. It would be nice to be able to set a default tracking category for invoice branding themes. As it is now, we have to set the tracking category manually for each line item on an invoice. For longer invoices this becomes very tedious and error prone.

    Hi Dominic, as Tracking was originally designed as an internal mechanism for tracking and monitoring parts of your business, it's not possible to make this field visible to your customers (re the invoice branding theme) we have a slightly different request for this here that you're welcome to join if you'd like to see this.

    However, if you'd like to set a default Tracking option to save yourself time when entering invoices you could set this on your Contact records. Within the Sales and Purchase sections you'll see an option to assign a Tracking option for each category you've set up.
