  1. When an overpayment is entered while reconciling the bank transaction, the reference we enter while creating overpayment transaction should appear in the reference tab while applying the credit to an invoice.

  3. Please add a setting option or a column for display details about "Account" in the table shown in "Bills to pay" instead of only showing "Ref" which the information of "Account" is important and moreover we don't need to waste time to entry "Ref" for checking.

  5. We need a tick box in the ALL tab section for Purchase Overview Bills - We should be able to from the ALL tab select Draft, Awaiting approval, Awaiting payment, Repeating. You constantly have to go from tab to tab when searching in ALL

  6. When using search in Bills/Invoices Awaiting Payment, it would be beneficial to include an option to allowing to search or filter for "not" or "excluding".

    For example, if I want to exclude a particular customer/supplier from the displayed results, I could search for that contact name and check "not" or "excluding".

    Secondary, but in the same vain, when you do add the ability to search or filter by contact group within bill/invoices, this feature would also be extremely handy to exclude a particular group from the results.

  7. Search Job name when searching for invoices
    The search function should be consistent across all search. If you can search for job name or part of job name in Search, you should be able to search for job name in Business/Invoices. This brings consistency to the search function.

  9. There are numerous discussion posts about Xero's lack of "Email to Expenses" functionality which is yet to be resolved, but there appears to be another gap in Expenses which makes producing many of the Bills/Expenses reports (including the TAPR) inaccurate.

    This happens because whilst the Expenses entry screen allows "Assign to Client" using Xero Contacts lookup, the Payee themselves cannot be connected this way. This means that if an employee expenses a payment, it never appears in any "By Contact" reporting, and cannot be included in the automated TAPR.

  10. As is frequently reported in the news, cybercrimes are prevalent and increasing. In light of a security incident experienced by one of our own clients - additional security measures to avoid cyber security issues need to be addressed.
    Being able to safely send invoices electronically that have some type of protection on them is of utmost importance.

  13. Populate Contact Purchase Defaults when Bills arrive as e-invoice or from 3rd party app.

    As a bookkeeper I was so looking forward to promoting and using e-invoicing, but unfortunately it's not going to work for me (and many of my clients).     Thanks for your support here, everyone. Appreciate there is some interest in this from people emailing bills to their organisation, or importing via a 3rd party application. 

    We wanted to share a recent change we've made for those using eInvoicing - invoices received via Xero's eInvoicing will apply Contact defaults (such as a set default 'Purchase account) when creating the invoice in Xero. 😁

However, in our case, we first send the customer a tax invoice to collect advance from customer and than make spending for the expenses on behalf of customer.   15. Sort "Bills you need to pay" Invoices by Supplier, then Due Date.

    When I make payments to suppliers, I first sort invoices by suppliers name (A-Z) and then by due date, however, the new update does not keep the A-Z order which means the list is not neat and easy to follow for payments.

    I can currently sort by due date, however it does not group automatically by supplier, so is very chaotic and requires streamlining, especially if there are lots of invoices due on the same date.

  16. Would like to be able to have adjustable columns on an invoice that I can change what they fill with. Right now an Invoice only has Item as a field. I would like to be able to change from Item to Account. That way I can have one payer and list several clients in the invoice without typing them all in.     Hi Laura, hen you say you'd have one payer - would this be a customer or someone internal in your organisation? 

    It still sounds like untracked inventory could work here - for example each 'client' would be set up as an  untracked item, you could select clients using the Item column of the invoice and this would auto populate pre saved data such as the account number which could be referenced in the description column, and monthly service for the account. 

  17. When I am reviewing expenses that have been submitted by an employee, I would like to see the current balance of the account that the expense is being assigned to as well as the overall budget for that account. That way, I can make a more informed decision as I either approve or decline the expense.
