Want to create a AFI file in Xero to collect payments directly from my client's via direct debit.

Hi 👋 you can set up direct debit payment services with GoCardless which enables more seamless payment collection from your customers.
Being rather security conscious we don't have any plans for enabling export of this sort of information from Xero any time in the near future and you may want to explore other options like the GoCardless integration for now.
We'll keep an eye on the interest for this here.

After reading the customer reviews on GoCardless, I wouldn't touch that app with a 10ft pole!
The ability to export an ABA file for direct debiting customers would save hours if not days of manual work each month. As a small business that direct debits from approx 300 customers twice a month, the manual data entry of these transactions is HUGE, being able to extract this data directly from Xero and load it into the bank would be a lifesaver! -

I am with you guys.
i have a direct debit facility with my bank, as its more secure than a third party. we should be able to set up direct debits and download an aba file. -

Is there any facility to download customer names with bank account detail and the amount due to the company? So this can be uploaded in to the bank to collect Direct Debit.

We do utility type billing monthly & our customers are wanting us to ditect debit their accounts monthly. The direct Debit facility is now setup with our bank, but it is a very manual process to get the info from Xero to properly direct debit the customer accounts each month. A simple AFI file download from invoice + bank account from contact info would significantly simplify this task.
