  1. We have a lot of transaction that include GST, but only on part of the purchase. (Mobile catering business where we shop a lot in supermarkets.) When adding details, it has been very helpful to have the transaction already split into two lines for GST-able component and GST-free component. When entering the amount of the payment that includes GST, (which has to be calculated as receipts mostly show GST included), it would be great if the GST-free line auto-filled with the balance. Obviously this wouldn't solve every breakdown of expenses, but it would save having to use the calculator where…

    Not something we have immediate plans for but appreciate the detail in your idea here, and we'll start to get an idea of the votes from community in this.

    In the meantime, will be dependent on how you enter transactions, but perhaps Bank Rules could enable you to apply based on proportions?

  2. Allow users to put in mileage claims at a nil rate per mile.
    This would allow the invoicing team to pick up mileage to charge to clients that is not claimed by operational staff: for example, where operational staff have a vehicle provided by the company.

  3. Xero made a lot of noise about how good the 'new invoicing' feature would be. Users gave plenty of feedback early on when new invoicing was optional, both in comments and by not switching over to new invoicing. Xero proceeded with the change seemingly unaware of the negative mood amongst users to the new invoicing feature.

    The product ideas section show, only in it's first 5 pages, 43 product ideas about new invoicing. Many of these product ideas are requests for previously available features to be made available again. Many of the ideas are under consideration or being worked on.

    Appreciate your feedback, Martin. I can assure you throughout the build of new invoicing we have engaged and tested out features with many different users. To keep customers informed throughout we have shared blog posts and regularly update our Xero Central page with what's been delivered and what's to come.

    Being such a widely used feature, we have focused on features that suit majority of our customers needs. We appreciate some customers still want to see more development and we are continuing to enhance this new invoicing experience.

  4. At the moment Zero Rated GST can only be applied to Revenue items on the Chart of Accounts. When we deal with a property sale between GST registsred parties, the sale is also zero rated for GST purposes. We need the option to apply the 0% GST rate to asset codes as well as revenue codes. At the moment, we have to do a manual workaround.

  5. To add a feature in Xero for dual-language invoices (English and Arabic) and to generate QR codes for ZATCA compliance (Saudi Arabia), here's a structured approach. Xero does not natively support dual-language invoices with QR codes directly, but you can integrate third-party applications or customize invoice templates to meet these requirements.

Hi there, would be awesome to be able to have a column in the Xero Tracking Summary Report which would sum up the quantities from what you entered in the quantity column in the Receive Money/Spend Money when you reconcile the transactions. This is especially important when organisations are measuring the quantities (eg. number of trips taken; number of food parcels handed out) are used with Xero. As it takes a lot of time to go into each transaction and see what the quantities are to get the group total, this feature would save people a lot of time.

  7. Xero cannot current cope with companies that have more than one pension scheme. The upload I need to send to the pension provider includes payroll number, pensionable earnings for period, start date and date of birth. It would be useful if Xero had the ability to add these and additional fields if required customised in the contribution report.

  8. Display in the Contact Section the amount of Credit the customer has in his favor because of prepayments made by them. You are able to see the customers credit when you have an invoice they owe for it to be credited to that specific invoice. But it would be super helpful to view in that little summary of the customer, how much he owes the company and if there is any credit in his favor to be applier.

    An update in the last few months bought inconsistency into the invoicing format in terms of the decimal points on the unit pricing. It would be good to be able to define this - to two, three, four decimal points so that there is consistency on the invoices rather than some units at two and some at four decimal points.

  12. If a client has overpaid an invoice, or paid an invoice that has been voided/credited, when Ihave reconciled the incoming payment as an Overpayment, I would then like to be able to create a Bill from this payment so that the refund it sitting in Bills Awaiting Payment.

  13. In the Bank Rules it would be very helpful to have a tick box that allows the full original description from the transaction in the bank, to be allocated when you reconcile the transaction.
    Much like the Set Reference as 'reference/description/etc' option but specifically to include the original transactions detail.

    E.g. Bank rule & contact would be: 'Pharmacy'
    - but the original description in is a transaction from 'Boots £3.50' or 'Superdrug £14.00' so when you apply the bank rule and you check the transaction in 'Account transactions' under the specific nominal (e.g. personal care), the description would say the…

  15. A summary page of outgoing correspondence via Xero - for example, statements going to a particular contact, any automatic invoice reminders that have gone out etc. Purely anything that is outgoing from Xero to be easily viewed so if a customer calls, you can quickly pinpoint what has triggered their enquiry.

  17. Activity statement line items can now be sorted in the Activity Statement report in Xero, which is great to be able to review transactions by Account Name, to group similar transactions. However, transactions do not keep this order when exported to CSV or PDF. If manually sorted by the user in the Activity Statement report, the exported report should keep the same sorting preferences.

  19. Allow all feilds to appear on a Xero invoice not just the select few.

  20. Auto accrual of Alternative Leave - It would be great if there was a permanent payment item setup in Xero for public holidays worked, and when it is used Xero automatically accrued the alternative leave earned. Or at least make it more obvious that you have to manually adjust the alternative leave accrual in each pay.
