Quote - Ability to have quote reminder
Add feature to automatically follow up on quotes / send quote reminder *days before expiry or *days after quote issued — as there is with invoices. This feature comes standard with most other quoting interfaces.

Hi everyone, totally get wanting to get an update from us on the idea here. Having a fair amount of interest from users I can say that Quote reminders are defintiely on the teams radar, however with current focus largely on new invoicing we do not have any immediate plans for this in the next 6 months.
I can assure you, though we mightn't be able to provide updates as frequently as you'd like to see, our product teams are heavily involved in the forums here and our community team often connect to share trends, discuss developments and externally communicate changes that are coming across Xero products. It's important to us to continue developing Xero to streamline payments and help our customers get paid sooner, and your idea here does sit in this realm.
When the teams resources open up and we can consider new development in Quotes like being able to send reminders we'll be happy to share and update you all of this, here.

When i follow up on a quote the client may not be ready to make a decision on the spot, so i record our conversation in the add note feature. if I'm to follow up at a later date i have to schedule it in my calendar. it would be great if you could schedule a follow up call from the add note feature that flags it when the call is due.

I have waited many years for the quotes system to be improved but finally bit the bullet in Nov 23 and invested in a quoting software that works with Xero; we chose Quotient.
The integration works, not perfectly in every respect, but overall it has resolved most of the issues we faced. I don't think Xero have any appetite for sorting quotes out and I wish I'd made this decision sooner.

we require the ability to send follow up emails for quotes not accepted. We know it provides the service for invoices can it for quotes? This is an important functionality and would help growth.

This is essential, why isn't this a basic function in 2023?
We need to monitor sent quotes and follow them up with ease, so an automated quote reminder feature would help with this.

With 997 views to date and 334 votes as this being critical functionality I wrote to the Chief Product Officer at Xero twice: Diya.Jolly@xero.com requesting this. I saw my email was read, but received no response. Quite disappointed. This would bring in a lot of extra revenue for businesses. I wish they would hire someone for that role with actual experience in running their own business.

I quite often find customers will just forget to accept a quote, and won't remember until we tell them it has expired and needs requoting.
It's a no-brainer, having automated reminders exactly as the OP said would make the whole process so much more efficient! There's a good reason why almost every online store has the 'you left this in your basket' reminders.

You can resend quotes in Blue Xero - why not in XPM?

We have recently transitioned over to XPM and are looking to send reminders for quotes - but it seems this is not possible. Disappointing to read the comment thread and the fact the functionality just isn't there. Alternative is to do this manually, which is time consuming and the whole reason why we switched to XPM as we believed it would cut down on a significant amount of admin costs. Any idea when this might be implemented please??
