Have the option to automatically select 'send me a copy' ticked when creating invoices/repeating invoices.

yes please! I too have just been caught out by an invoice mysteriously not reaching a customer (or so he says!) and I couldn't prove that the invoice had been sent...

Added my vote and also sharing my frustration over losing that feature when being pushed to use the "NEW" invoice entry page.
In my case, I use this option to ENSURE the Xero email system is working properly and that if I receive the invoice via email, so did my customers.
edit: just noticed it has been over a year since this "idea" was listed. Wow...

Why fix something that wasn't broken? Someone justifying their job? This needs to be fixed..more buttons to push now...and send a copy to me has to be remembered every time...nothing saved here...just unnecessary changes. Have to switch back to good classic invoicing

Since switching to the new invoicing format, not having "send me a copy" as a default setting has caught me out a couple of times now, and is absolutely infuriating since it's also not possible to see emails sent in "show history & notes". I can't understand how it was not a feature transferred across from the old invoicing format.

Please reinstate the option to automatically select 'Send me a copy' under the new invoicing format. It is such a basic but super useful feature which saves a lot of time when doing a run of invoices.

Why was this discontinued? Such a simple but essential tool to make the process nice and efficient. Of all the unwanted extras Xero comes up with, why oh why have they removed something that we ACTUALLY want and use. Doh!!

This is a really simple but important feature. As I use this so I have a record & can easily forward copies to my colleagues when doing clients bookkeeping & year end accounts.
OR if a client says they never recevied an invoice I can resend the email with the invoice to them with the orgibnsal sent details.I know a lot of our clients use this feature too.

Why was this feature removed? This is asinine. I'm switching back to classic invoicing until this is resolved. This is a key feature I use to track communications with clients. It also creates a documentation trail which I require for contracts.

PLEASE reinstate this. I can't understand why it has been omitted from the new invoicing format. Like others, I have tried the new format but have gone back to the old one, hoping that this can be resolved before you discontinue the old invoicing format.

don't like the new invoice system at all, its far less efficient. more buttons to select, and where do I find the "send copy to me option"?

Searching how I can set the "send me a copy" as a default so I don't have to try and remember to tick this box every invoice. Are you kidding that this can't be changed in the default settings.
Some parts of the new invoicing are good - but I prefer the old version. I seem to be clicking on a lot of extra boxes to do the simple tasks with the new version. Xero - you have not won me over.

Please put this default back into the invoicing. I sent 20+ invoices at a time. It's unlikely I will remember to select "send to myself" 20+ times in a morning. Especially since I've not had to do this before.
I also much prefer the classic layout. I wanted to like the new layout, but I don't love it.

I understand Xero are trying to make invoicing easy and visible for the plumber on the go using their tablet and pudgy fingers.
But a great many of us have 24-36" screens and sit at a desk either in stand-alone finance roles, or as business partners for the tradie/small business person.
As the finance partners that help a business make decisions, Xero may wish to develop "new" invoicing for the mobile users, and maintain "classic" for those of us that suffer RSI from the data entry. -

Just want to add my voice to the choir.
I don't see how the new version saves time. I prefer the layout of the classic invoice screen.
