Thanks for adding this feature. I'm trying it and I noticed that if you copy and paste a value with a $ in it, it will not paste properly. Sometimes when you copy paste opening or closing balances from PDF it copies including the dollar sign.

Please allow to paste the value with the $ in it.

Also, there doesnt seem to be any way of deleting a draft period. Please consider adding a small garbage bin icon in the period list and inside the period.

Hi team, our team have been making a few recent changes in this space and I'm pleased to share this is now possible.

You can delete a draft period when you need to start again, have made a mistake, or no longer need it. From the Reconcile Period list, simply select the delete icon next to the draft and confirm the deletion. The draft will be removed, while reconciled transactions and their matched status remain unchanged.

Worth noting that closed periods can’t be deleted. We hope this gives you more control over your reconciliation workflow and keeps your period list easier to manage. Thanks!

    PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE ADD THE ABILITY TO REMOVE A DRAFT RECONCILE PERIOD. My visa statement is not reconciling and I want to start the reconciliation period over, BUT once I have a draft period, the only thing I seem to be able to change is the date, not the amounts. I cannot close the period because it doesn't balance, but I can't change the numbers. I am STUCK. What am I supposed to do?

    You said we could change the dates on a draft reconcile Period, however I cannot change the date where I need it to be.

    Please add a delete or edit function. I accidentally put the wrong ending balance and can't go back and fix it or delete it and start over

    Funny I need to delete a draft on the reconcile period tab and I can't, is the program owners looking into this?

    I'm commenting again to request this feature be added! Our end of fiscal year is coming up in September and I still have to reconcile all our accounts from February forward which will be much more tedious because I can't delete the draft period! :(

    Please add!!! I am NEW to Xero. My computer crashed with my Quickbooks desktop (very old version) and our business cannot afford what they want a month. So I have to start at the beginning of the year however I have a cc that had fraudulent activity at the beginning of the year. When added my bank/cc accounts only the new card came over. There is not much explanation on here when being self taught. Long story short...I started to reconcile my new card in Jan when it should have been in Feb! I NEED TO DELETE the draft reconciliation!!!

    I like to pre-reconcile frequently during the month and can't figure out how to update the period with the new ending date.
