  1. Enable the ability to generate a report that includes users for each client organisation that includes users who are not staff members so that you can quickly see if the correct and relevant people are accessing the Xero file and know if you need to remove users who shouldn't be there.

  2. We have staff that need to see who the biller client is for a group however we do not want them being able to see staff timesheets.

    We would like the Access Financial data tab broken up to enable staff to see the billing client.

  3. XPM Timesheets/Timeclock - The ability for the saved time to be ordered from the most recent time to the first time entries of the day so you can quickly see when you last entered time, as a start point. This saves a whole lot of scrolling if you have a lot of entries for the day.

  4. We have some clients that have multiple businesses under their personal names. Can we please have individual worksheets for each business to input income and expenses which then automatically totals into the business schedule in the main form?

    At the moment in XERO tax, we need to put the grand totals into the business schedule, then split the amounts across the businesses for each expense/income line item. This is not practical as we generally receive separate figures for each business, not a grand total.

    Hi everyone, as noted in the comments here with Single Client record and client lists now being the same across XPM and Xero HQ you could export your client list from Xero HQ and you'll in the export file there is a column for Organisation name.

    Appreciate this isn't directly within Xero atm, so we'll leave the idea open. We don't have any direct plans for developing this view in Xero right now, but we'll continue to track the appetite here and share if there's any change planned.

  6. It would be good if Xero Tax calculated the estimated PAYG instalment payable in SMSF Tax Returns as we use this to inform our clients of what amounts they are up for in the new financial year, a very important piece of information for them to consider re timing and amount of cashflow outgoings. Xero Tax does it for individuals so not sure how difficult it would be to make it apply for all entities subject to the PAYG Instalment system.

It would be great if you can automate the ticking in of this 'ATOmate Fee For Service' (under client details) whenever 'Deduct fee from refund' is selected on the tax return currently in process. And if in the next financial year's tax return it is no longer fee from refund, 'ATOmate Fee For Service' will automatically be unticked.

  8. Archiving a client with a Xero Ledger/Plan seems almost too easy as there is no warning to prompt you to cancel the subscription/or remove yourself as a user - So you could end up paying for a Xero Ledger/plan indefinitely and not know.

    As an example, we discovered 20+ entities that had been archived in XPM/XeroHQ but not cancelled in Xero.

    There is currently no way to easily find out if any active ledgers/plans are on the Archived list (which thanks to the Xero Single Client Record Process we now have 3,000+ archived clients) as you

  9. I've been using Xero Workpapers now for 7 years. While I find it efficient and effective, there is certainly room for minor improvements.

    Yet, despite this list of product ideas from users, it appears that Xero hasn't actually made any changes to this product in the entire time that I have used it. Of the 91 product ideas, only 5 have been marked as 'delivered', 3 of which are not specific to Xero Workpapers, 1 was pointing out a feature that has always been there and the last was resulting from the removal of the old xero reporting (not really…

    Appreciate feeling that this part of the product hasn't got as much attention as you'd like to see, Colin.

    As you may understand some of our product team do look after and develop for multiple areas across Xero. While I can't share any direct works planned for this space atm, I want to assure you that your feedback has been shared back with the team and we are continually reviewing and advocating our customers ideas from the forums here with our product teams.

  10. XPM Staff permission - Practice Administration Permissions: You shouldnot have to give a staff member access to the full business setting menu to be able let them access the PLS/ELS reports. There should be a PLS/ELS Management only permission.

    I want a staff member to be able to access the PLS/ELS reports without being able to access other staff member information or having access to all my practice setting.

  12. When completing a tax return for foreign residents we needed to adjust the discount rate for the property that they had sold. Xero had no way for us to change the discount percentage so we said that we used the other method to not include discount and then added the discount we should be able to claim to the costs in the Capital Gain Worksheet. As per Xero Support this was the only solution. Can you please incorporate a way for us to change the discount rate of a CGT event?

  13. Having the ability to create a separate set of work papers for the practice that is confidential and not visible to all users.

  14. I would like to be able to create a report of clients whose GST filing is due but there are not enough fields to filter them out. We can select 2 monthly but not select whether they are '2 monthly odd' or '2 monthly even' and we can select 6 monthly but not choose which 2 months of the yer their returns are due. It would be great if we didnt have to enter the same info twice by creating a custom field.

  15. We need to improve permissions on XPM, I want to provide permission to my managers to their staff members timesheets. The only way I can do this is to give them access is by giving them Access Financial data which really is too high for what we require.
    Only other way is to provide them with a report weekly...

  16. It would really make my life easier if you could please allow the [Month] [Year] option to label on the task for recurring jobs. This would allow us to see in blue Xero the label of the task namely month and year when invoicing our clients. This would be really helpful when identify numerous jobs and tasks for the same client as the job name does not appear on the invoice in blue Xero. Also, with using the [Month] feature, it would roll over in the next recurring job on its own.

  17. Document packs. Signers contact details and email addresses should be accessed from Contact details already stored for the client. At present they have to be located and copied manually when adding a signer to a document

  20. The ability to bulk update staff access to client tax returns in xero tax. Currently, the only way to change staff access to certain clients in the xero tax feature is to go into each client file and change it individually. A bulk update function would be more efficient and less time consuming.
