  1. When filing an SA100, allow us to change the Personal allowance of the client to match their actual tax code, so the return can be filed correctly. Currently on the generic tax code is catered for, and this doesn’t account for people who have different tax codes.

  2. It would be really helpful if the Global Search Bar would also look at all fields held with the the 'Contact details' ie

    • Account number
    • Company registration number

    Quick referencing these detials directly from the Global Search Bar would save me loads of time and fustration

  3. On Xero bills, as well as being able to filter and search for purchase invoices by contact or invoice reference, being able to search by a nominal code would be helpful. For example, making a payment run for all of one type of cost; finding any invoices that have not been allocated properly or for finding amounts that need to be included in management accounts.

  4. What if I want to add something on the cover and content page? There should be an option to insert content, add a text block, etc. Not to mention the period customisation, we have clients that just started out and we are required to add (Date of Incorporation) behind the starting date, e.g. period from 23 August 2024 (Date of Incorporation) to 31 March 2025.

    I want to also address the trial balance and some other reports as well, namely the accounting period has a lack of flexibility in terms of displaying the figures we wanted, like all I want…

  5. If capital gains have been distributed in a family trust distributions, the data doesn't feed into item 18. You can't select the 'create CGT worksheets…' option like you can for managed funds. Instead you have to create new CGT worksheet & manually enter the CGT information

  6. You can't create a stand-alone worksheet for depreciable assets then feed the figures to a chosen label. Depreciation has to be created within the label e.g. rental worksheet/D5/D1. For assets created within a rental schedule you can print nice depreciation worksheets. For assets created at other labels, you sometimes can't print a nice worksheet and the information displayed at the label is limited. The assets worksheets attached to a rental property in a Trust return doesn't show the cost or acquisition date of each asset.

  7. We would like to see Xero Tax importing all letters from IRD, a little bit like Plugin Accountant did (who were liquidated) There was also the option to email the letters to the clients. It would be great to have all this in one program

  8. The way prepayments work in Xero, these only impact the Accounts Receivable once it's applied to an invoice, therefore they don't impact the total of the statement balance.

    Solution for now enter prepayments as Overpayments to the Customer's account. My recommendation is that we have the ability to modify the words in the Activity field that appear on statements, so when overpayment is the desired function to use to trick Xero to show the payment as a credit on a statement, I would like to modify the field that says Overpayment to say "Prepayment" on the statement for the customer…

  10. Being able to link several jobs with the one invoice raised in Xero blue. When issuing through Practice Ignition, it only allows you to allocate to one invoice in XPM. Moving the timesheets is clunky and inaccurate

  11. When you go into a client and enter the jobs tab, there is no job for that client even though they are part of the group that there is a job for and that client is included within that job. The job only shows for the single client where the job is created.

    The jobs tab already includes sections for active jobs and archived jobs. It should also show a section for jobs assigned to other clients within its group.

  12. Would like to see the ability to turn on mandatory notes for billable jobs rather than optional. Happy for this to be turned on/off at a practice level.

    This will ensure that time is being recorded correctly against client jobs and making the team member accountable for time allocated.

    This means no missing information and clients can be billed correctly.

  13. Client Merge popup box needs to be expandable. It wants me to select which client that will merge into from the other (which is irreversible) but I can't expand the popup screen or hover over the fields to see what is written in full to know which one to select.

    Hi Ami, would this be for a repeat invoice template? Or could you provide a bit more detail about your how your business would use this, or a typical scenario you need this feature for?

  15. Currently hubdoc suggests that a document is a Credit Note and to check before proceeding. Can this be the same when a document has Statement written on it. I find that statements are often processed as invoices causing duplicate payments within Xero

  17. It would be good if you could scroll up past 2015 when adding a date on the relationships tab. Rather than having to press it, then reopen it to open up the next bit.

  18. Extend the information in Xero HQ to include full client data.
    Information that would be good to see on each client information schedule would be;

    a. VAT registration date, this is required for security with HRMC so needs to be in one place when contacting them.
    b. VAT quarters (We do have clients that don’t use xero and this information is important)
    c. PAYE registration details (Not all clients use Xero payroll and equally flicking between various clients bookkeeping systems when on the phone to HMRC is a bit irritating!)
    d. UTR details for companies
    e. Tax district for Both…

  19. Create the ability to update time entries for draft bills.
    We often have a manager draft the bill and between the bill being created and it being approved by a director, there is additional time added to the job. If there was an option to refresh the bill to include all time before approval, rather than having to delete the bill and start again, that would be amazing!

  20. Joint bank accounts need to be listed in the financial institution details of both parties in XPM. It would be great to have them linked so only one client needs to be updated and the changes flow to the other client, and into the tax returns for both
