Tailor system data fields i.e. customise Year End date.
Ability to amend or remove some of the system data fields such as 'Year end date'. Not all clients need a year end date (for example if they have just signed up for some consulting work). We have successfully used 'custom fields' to tailor XPM to match our client database needs and it would be great to also have control over some of the custom fields to remove as we don't need all of them.

NZ Tax - Create AIM return on a cash basis
The ability to file AIM returns on a cash basis is important for clients for cash flow purposes. Some clients deal with large invoices that don't get paid out within the same period they are issued. This can inflate their tax figure for the period and strain their cash flow until they get paid.

Currently, the custom report allows the user to add the Related Client's Name only. Would be good to be able to include a unique identifier as well for the related client, such as the Export Code for that related client.1 vote -

XPM - Option to add prospect relationships
Need to have the ability to add prospect relationships - currently if both spouses are added as prospects, you can't then link them as spouses in the relationships section. However, if one spouse is already a client then you can link the prospect as a relationship... this seems like an oversight in the platform. Need to be able to link prospects as spouses/family etc.

Practice Manager - Edit saved filters
Edit Jobs Screen Filters: In the XPM jobs screen it is possible to created and save filters. However it is not currently possible to edit those filters, only clear them and start again. Please provide the functionality to edit existing filters. Thanks in advance, Petra.

Practice Manager | Xero integration - Exclude nil jobs
Currently there is no option to remove nil job totals through Xero invoice integration settings.
You can remove nil tasks/costs if opting for the alternate invoice presentation method (tasks/costs), but not for when you opt for the job totals basis. This would solve multi job invoices and the clean-up required where writing off amounts to nil across jobs.

XPM - Add Activity Statement forms to billing entity
We have clients on Annual Packages that cover a group of companies or individuals. While we are able to add tax forms for other entities within the billing group, the same option is not available for Activity Statements, meaning that we have to split the job or not attach the forms.
It would be very helpful to open an annual job and see all tasks and forms associated with it.1 vote -
Including IR4J as a Return Type in report builder
when we have a report that we would want to specify the type of return e.g. ir3, ir4 there does not seem to be the IR4J specifically for when we file a IR4J on its own for members apart of a consolidated group and only require to file their own imputation return.
It would be great if this could be included as this helps when reporting our internal filing stats.

XPM - Sort timesheets by column headers
Would be great to be able to sort the timesheets by the column headings. They are blue but don't actually do anything when you click on them.

NZ Payroll - Report on list of Payroll employees earnings at the EOFY
We would like to be able to do a list of Employee at the end of year with total earnings, PAYE, Employer and Employee Kiwisaver etc.
You can list now but it lists every date and you then need to drop out to Excel and do all the additionals. Very time consuming if you have a number of employees.

As you've found, the Annual Earnings Certificate displays the information required, but splits each employee in to a seperate page.
I've updated your title to reflect that you'd like this report in a list format, and shifted it back to 'submitted' so we can keep collecting votes and feedback.

NZ Tax | XPM Form graph - Filter Returns by Manager
On the XPM dashboard there are two tax returns filed graphs - Returns by month and Returns by form. (New Zealand)
It would be great if you can have these showing by "Manager" (as per details in client set up) rather than the whole practice or "account manager" which is currently the only available selection and "account manager" is the Partner/Director as per client set up.1 vote -

There is a report in XPM, Client Revenue Report, this is great for end of year reporting by client. Unfortunately there is no opportunity to select a comparative. Can we please have the ability to run this report in the same manner as the Income by Contact report in Xero Blue. Thanks.

Practice Manager | Invoicing - Ability to code based on job
When we link XPM to Xero, we have to set up a code for Income. This is set to a default code (200 Sales) however we also use codes to differentiate income between Company Accounts, Personal Tax Returns, VAT work etc. Would it be possible to add something that allows us to select the code per job? Or alternatively to allow adding of tracking categories?

Practice Manager | Timesheets - Ability to make a custom field mandatory
Given the changes in the WFH deductions area, we have been looking at simple ways our accountants can log on their timesheets when they are WFH so that a simple report can be generated at year end to assist with their personal tax returns.
We have added the custom field to the time entry where they can specify whether they are working off premises, at the office or from home.
We have no way of making this a mandatory field and it only comes up when accessing the timesheet entry point of Dashboard -> Enter Time -> Daily

XPM - Detect family group address changes and update all member records
I have a client family group with 4 people which lives at the same address and now they moved house, so I need to update their address in the system. Instead of updating the address for each individual, I am sure there is a way to prompt the system to detects this old address in XPM, it will then prompt me to change for all of them. I have seen this function when I was using the Solution 6 system about 15 years ago, so I am sure it is do-able.

Just checking, the steps below are not applicable here?
From our Change the address for all clients in a group article:
- Select Clients, then select the Groups tab.
- Click the name of the group, then click on one of the clients in the group.
- Click Options, then select Edit.
- Under Contact Details, edit the address details, then click Save.
- Click Update Related Clients' addresses
- (Optional) Click All Related Clients to filter related clients by relationships or group members. The filter only shows if the client has at least one relationship set up and is also a member of at least one group.
- Select the checkbox for each address you want to change, then click Update.

XPM | NZ Tax - Client filing notification
Do not understand why if a client files their own income tax return with Inland Revenue and an assessment is issued why this is not updated in XPM, issues arise that we have no knowledge of assessment so affects Provisional and Income tax notices
