Practice Manager | Jobs - Ability to change information sections
Would it be possible to close sections of the job that you don't use and these stay as default. (Information Tax - job details, custom fields etc.) This would make it easier to see the sections you do use. It would also be useful if you would put them in the order you prefer.
For example to me the most important section is tasks and these are quite low down the list. I would like this to be a default setting.

Practice Manager | Clients - Digital ID integration
With the movement towards Digital ID (MyID, Auspost Digital ID, Connect ID).

It would be convenient if we could onboard clients using these systems. Would ensure that details were correct and identify the clients at the same time.

Report template - Re-ordering codes at practice to flow to clients orgs
Given Xero's push for 'beautiful accounting' I find it very frustrating that the template report codes can't be re-ordered within their groups in the template reports and always revert to alphabetical at the client level, meaning every single client needs their custom reports formatting unnecessarily. Editing reports at every single client level for what I consider to be pretty basic formatting is really disappointing.

The ability to remove grid lines from pasted in excel spreadsheets from xero reports. Also the ability add blank row with now other details
The ability to remove grid lines to a xero report that has been exported to excel spreadsheet then edited and then pasted back into xero reports. Currently this is extremely annoying and you might as well set it up in excel from the start. Not friendly at the moment and doesn’t look professional or doesn’t save any time.

XPM - Ability to set historic Capacity Levels for the Productivity Dashboard
The productivity dashboard does not have the functionality to automatically account for staff start dates. It calculates capacity for the whole year which does not work for staff commencing mid year. There's no functionality to set a historic capacity level. The workaround is to manually adjust the reporting date for the productivity dashboard to account for each staff's start date or use the Time Productivity Report as an alternative. I'd love to see this feature improvement / functionality in the future.

XPM - Easy view of clients government gateway credentials.
Would it be possible to visibly see the Government Gateway currently set up for HMRC submissions for each individual client? At the moment I believe this isn't available, however it would be helpful to be able to view this information via Practice Manager

XPM | Jobs - Change order when moving time
When moving time to another job in XPM and you start typing the client name that the time is to be transferred to, it appears at the very bottom of the list, So you always have to scroll down the screen to see the job that you want to transfer it to. Could it please appear at the top of the list on the screen?

XPM - Report all business structure/tax types to see who is payable
It would be great if there were the ability to run a report of all business structure type Tax returns (AU, CTR, PTR, SMSF, TRT) with who is tax payable and refundable.
At the moment, we can do this for some business structure types, but not all and when adding in these columns, it immediately removes all clients.

XPM - Allocation of job write off/on against users
We have just been advised that we cannot allocate write off/on to jobs rather against individuals or apportioned across those who have charged time to the job. At times, jobs are short quoted for reasons and it's unfair to impact someone's recoverability due to business decisions. There has to be a way to record such write offs without impacting staff or teams time directly rather recoverability of the job.

XPM New Email from Job
If you send an email from the XPM Job it automatically adds the details as per the "name" field of the job as the subject in the email.
Please add the name of the client after the insertion of the "job name" field of the job in the subject.
If I do have a client with multiple entities, it can be confusing for the client as he does not know for which entity the mail is - he only sees the job number and the job description. If you look in history of your mails you can then also search…1 vote -
XPM - Collaboration to include All jobs option
Please add an option in collaboration to show active only or ALL jobs.
We sometimes receive mails after the job was completed(or billed) but then we must open the job to allocate any mails received.1 vote -

XPM - Multi currency invoicing and reports
Improve multi currency capability of XPM.
Currently, XPM only caters for invoicing out in the base currency and so invoices are done out of Xero. When it compes to KPI reports out of XPM, the info is all wrong. Invoice amounts pull through in invoice currency and not base currency, where as time is calculated in the base currency, these are incorrectly picked up as over and unders. Since there is no way to see what currency the invoice is in, reports from XPM are quite useless and differ significantly to profit reported in Xero for entities that invoice in…

Practice Manager - Auto select 'ATOmate Fee For Service' when 'Deduct fee from refund' is checked
It would be great if you can automate the ticking in of this 'ATOmate Fee For Service' (under client details) whenever 'Deduct fee from refund' is selected on the tax return currently in process. And if in the next financial year's tax return it is no longer fee from refund, 'ATOmate Fee For Service' will automatically be unticked.

Practice Manager - Use Collaboration Manager to automatically add Notes to clients
It would be great if we could use Collaboration Manager to assign emails directly to the Client, rather than a Job or a Quote. These emails would then be automatically stored under the Notes tab in the Clients screen.

XPM - Manage XPM Client notes using API
We currently integrate with a range of practice management software, and have a recurring request from customers using XPM to have us add notes to client records when certain actions are taken.
Currently, adding or updating notes is not possible via the API, however documents can be managed via the API. Client notes are useful as they allow important communications with a client to be logged against that client for future reference.

XPM | Report builder - Option to print clients on separate pages
It would be good when printing the WIP ledger for unbilled clients to have the option to print each client separately. i dont want to have to individually tick my clients just to get there report on a single page.

Xero Practice Manager | iPad - Search job name
When accessing through ipad browser (chrome/safari/edge), if entering time through the dashboard, there is not the function to start typing a job name and the list to match with the name typed. This function is avaialble on desktop. This means users need to scroll through the list to get to client name, then click/tap on it. Requesting the desktop site does not work.

Customized Financials
It will be great for the customized financials reports can remain in the same format every month, instead of having to delete the customization each time.
1 voteHi Taunee, can you share a bit more information about the way you're customizing your reports atm. You can save a custom format that you've set up and if you'd like this to be the default for the org this can also be set. We have some help on this in Xero Central.
