  3. Xero Practice Manager -

    There is a report in XPM, Client Revenue Report, this is great for end of year reporting by client. Unfortunately there is no opportunity to select a comparative. Can we please have the ability to run this report in the same manner as the Income by Contact report in Xero Blue. Thanks.

  5. It would be great to have an option to prepare a CT600 only: We prepare a number of accounts for friendly societies so don't file accounts for them, but we do need to file CT600s for them.

  11. When we link XPM to Xero, we have to set up a code for Income. This is set to a default code (200 Sales) however we also use codes to differentiate income between Company Accounts, Personal Tax Returns, VAT work etc. Would it be possible to add something that allows us to select the code per job? Or alternatively to allow adding of tracking categories?

  12. Currently, a SWIFT code for each payee will need to be entered each time a batch payment is created, otherwise, batch won't be sent to Bank. It would be helpful if there is any way for Xero to record the swift code from the previous payment so that when we make a new payment for the same supplier, the bank information will be automatically shown in the respective fields.

  13. Given the changes in the WFH deductions area, we have been looking at simple ways our accountants can log on their timesheets when they are WFH so that a simple report can be generated at year end to assist with their personal tax returns.

    We have added the custom field to the time entry where they can specify whether they are working off premises, at the office or from home.

    We have no way of making this a mandatory field and it only comes up when accessing the timesheet entry point of Dashboard -> Enter Time -> Daily

  15. I'd like the ability to restrict who can see documents in Xero sign within the practice - then we can use it for all documents that need signing, including Staff contracts and other sensitive information that we don't necessarily want the whole team to be able to view.

  16. It would be so much better to be able to publish a GST return with the ability to alphabetically list the Account names so all transactions can be presented grouped by the same account code. Then the client can easily review their audit report and identify transactions in the wrong account code.

  18. Have come across Xero "feature" of auto filling the account code on a bill, however the code Xero put in had nothing to do with the expense and never has been. The ability to switch this feature off so clients have to actually look for the correct code would be beneficial.

    Hey Lyn, thanks for suggesting this idea!


    Xero will use your defaults accounts for a supplier or the inventory item to assign a pre-selected account code to the bill you've created. You can read a bit more about that here.


    Just to clarify, is this the feature you're referring to? If so, it's possible to disable this by not entering in defaults for the items or contacts in question 😊

  19. I have a client family group with 4 people which lives at the same address and now they moved house, so I need to update their address in the system. Instead of updating the address for each individual, I am sure there is a way to prompt the system to detects this old address in XPM, it will then prompt me to change for all of them. I have seen this function when I was using the Solution 6 system about 15 years ago, so I am sure it is do-able.

    Just checking, the steps below are not applicable here?


    From our Change the address for all clients in a group article:


    1. Select Clients, then select the Groups tab.
    2. Click the name of the group, then click on one of the clients in the group.
    3. Click Options, then select Edit.
    4. Under Contact Details, edit the address details, then click Save.
    5. Click Update Related Clients' addresses
    6. (Optional) Click All Related Clients to filter related clients by relationships or group members. The filter only shows if the client has at least one relationship set up and is also a member of at least one group.
    7. Select the checkbox for each address you want to change, then click Update.

  20. I'm a part-time bookkeeper and would find a Calendar or Task List such as Outlook provides very useful for setting up 'Reminders' to carry out certain time critical tasks.
