XPM - Add multiple email addresses for client
We need the ability to add multiple email addresses for a client. Not extra Contacts, but the main email address for a client. Currently you can only enter one email address, this is the address that tax payment letters (for example) are automatically sent to. However, some clients want these to go to more than one address. We have to keep a separate spread sheet and our Tax administrator needs to manually send tax payment letters to those clients.
Something similar to Xero Blue, where you can add an extra email address for invoices and statements to be sent to, and you can tick a box to say who should get what. That would be perfect for XPM too.

Hi everyone, we appreciate the support and feedback this idea has continued to receive, and the appetite for being able to add multiple addresses to a Clients record.
As you may have seen or read from our recent Xerocon announcement we have some exciting changes coming for our partners with Xero Partner Hub.
One of the big changes with this is unifying Client experiences and bringing them into one place - Meaning with Xero Partner Hub you'll have the ability to add multiple addresses for a client 😊
We understand there's a secondary request within this idea to be able to tag an email for specific purposes and we want to be upfront that his won't be possible with the initial launch but our product team are aware and considering how we might develop Xero Partner Hub for this use overtime - We have created a separate idea that we'd really like to track interest and update you through, so please do support and add your feedback for this there. 🙏
Find out more about the Xero Partner Hub and how to prepare from our website. I'll be back to share more as Xero Partner Hub is released to practices.

Yes would be good - if Xero listened & cared that is....but they don't give a toss and have zero interest in listening. They may as well change their name to "MYOB" because they have become just as bad (which is why we switched from MYOB to Xero in the first place !

We often have clients with bookkeepers and other individuals involved in the business that need to see BAS or such information but not the personal tax details, a drop down pick list would be perfect

There are many occasions where the main email address in the system is not appropriate for not only tax payment letters but it would be a real benefit to be able to choose from a pick list for income tax returns as well. These quite often go to an alternative email address, and it is cumbersome keeping a list for this purpose.

Agreed, we need separate email address for invoices and statements as they do not always go to the same email address.

We do need to be able to store multiple email addresses against clients/contacts. However, as Salutation and Addressee are only held at Contact level, Xero need to sort out whether the multiple email is held against the Client or Contact.

At present in XPM when a client contacts us to update the email address that Tax Notices or Invoices go to, we end up with different people updating different places, as there is no clear easy way to tell which emails do what.
We end up with people sending emails to admin asking to update, which creates unnecessary communication. It would be great if you could have multiple email address fields within the CLIENT (not the contact/s) with clarity on what those emails do. EG:
*Tax Email (links to the tax notices)
*Billing Email (syncs to Blue xero for billing)
*Contact EmailOr similar. And allow multiple email addresses in each field separated by a semi-colon (this has been addressed in other threads).
A competitor product offers this system and it was so much easier to keep addresses updated and consistent.
