Xero Tax - PAYG Instalments Estimate For Individuals pre-ticked
PAYG Instalments Estimates pre-ticked
The Print PAYG Instalments payable on the individual tax return Estimate page defaults as "No". This needs to be manually turned on, and even if the client has generated instalments it will not appear on the tax return unless manually selected. Preparers and reviewers may miss this. If it was set on as default then it would not be missed.

Agree. In addition to this, the future instalments calculator seems to be very basic and doesn't factor when a return is likely to be lodged and what will happen to the future catch up PAYG instalments.

I agree with this. It is easy to miss ticking that yes option.

I agree with this request - we had the payg estimate unticked so we did not advise the client in our cover letter that they would enter the instalment system (which is what we normally do) - so then we have to explain it when the ATO letter comes out. would much prefer an automatic yes or alternatively the system should identify when someone needs to be in the instalment system and automatically print out the instalment estimate (myob ae tax has been doing this for years - we switched over to xero tax and I'm shocked xero doesn't do this!)

trying to edit.
At the moment there isn't an option to set a default for the Print PAYG instalments payable. Is there a way to create that label on the Estimate tab, to set this as Yes by default on all returns? I hope we get that in the sooner future. Thank you!
