The new Xero implementations - becoming very frustrated!
I am finding the inconsistent implementation of the new Xero style mixed in with the old incredibly frustrating. The new style screens are slow to load & enter data, the tabbing and typing a few letters then hitting return either doesn't work (add payment) or is inconsistent between screens, entering a new customer on the fly is frustrating because you can't enter all the information at once & still have to open the full contact edit screen to complete it, also the new contact pop up doesn't autopopulate addresses as you type, the send remittance button disappears if you get distracted and then you need to hunt around to send the remittance. I could go on. It would be better if you left the old system in place until the new version was complete, consistent and fully featured THEN allow people to cut over on a trial basis for feedback & once the big irritants are fully worked out then do the full swap.

Hi everyone, sorry we've not responded here sooner. As we upgrade technology we are mindful of the impact this can have for our customers. We understand changing features and learning new flows and the ways of performing some actions can be a big transition for customers.
In particular, as mentioned in your feedback here with new invoicing. To support as much as possible during this time, we're providing lots of information through means of blogs, education and guides on Xero Central.
We're also continuing to iterate and develop new features into new invoicing that we know our customers want.
An example of this are recent improvements we made to the 'Contact' field adding the ability to look up your contact address, edit or add the Attention field, and adding more address lines.
I have made sure your feedback here is shared with the team, however we do want to be open that we will be retiring classic invoicing on 27th Feb 2025.
We encourage you to share through adding your votes or starting new ideas for the specific features, functions and flows that would help you better use Xero as we continue to develop our products.

Additionally I have years of using old Xero and have built up muscle memory on the processes and data entry screens so that I did a lot of work automatically. This is now all out the window making everything I do take longer as I am no longer sure what will work and what won't. I get things change but this has been done in the least efficient way for the user of your product!
