  1. XPM Staff permission - Practice Administration Permissions: You shouldnot have to give a staff member access to the full business setting menu to be able let them access the PLS/ELS reports. There should be a PLS/ELS Management only permission.

    I want a staff member to be able to access the PLS/ELS reports without being able to access other staff member information or having access to all my practice setting.

    Thanks for all the detail around the different scenarios a pause function for the timer would help with.


    Our team have been taking interest in ideas in the forums here. 

    With the way the timer works with Practice Manager today, developing the ability to pause this would require extensive work and this isn't something we're able to resource at this time.


    As we enhance integrations through practice manager our practice teams will continue to track ideas on the site here, and share if there's any change.

  3. Since the creation of the new Job Manager, we are now unable to bulk add new staff members to staff allocations within a job.

    You can bulk add the jobs, but then you need to manually do the job allocations for each job

    When you have a new staff member and you want to assign them to 300 jobs, it would make it easier if we could do this in bulk rather than on a job by job basis.

  4. Good day,

    Would it be possible to allow us to import the staff assignment via the CSV import file rather than assigning staff afterwards. Same for the template, category and job state.

    Regarding the bulk staff assignment function, could we add filters and have the columns sort when you click on the column headings of this section please.

    These two short comings is creating a huge delay in annual job creation for routine jobs.

    No we cannot use re-curing jobs as XPM does not have the functionality yet to choose the date on which the re-curing job is created, you…

  5. You have 4 other online cloud document management systems listed via XPM. We use SharePoint and would request this to be added as a further option to link our programs for efficiency and easy of use.

    We would then like tasks to be setup in jobs, that we can "link" documents in Sharepoint, to tasks/jobs in XPM.

  6. Client Search History: being able to see the clients in XPM that you have searched for recently/previous 24hrs. When needing to go back to a client you recently searched and updated etc and need to go back into same client or cannot remember client name etc. Would have thought this would be 'standard feature' as in other progams we use

  7. The ability to look up client by entering their client code. Currently we have to go to groups and find the client belonging to the group. Our admin system is based on client codes and it would make it easier having the client code look up option.

  8. Debit card transactions are not needed to be reported on 1099s. When using bank feeds in checking accounts it does not distinguish debit card vs check. I suggest there be a option to identify debit card vs checks so the debit card activity is not automatically added the the 1099 reporting.

  9. It would be great to see the tax refund/payable next to the tax return in the client view, tax returns tab, saves opening up the tax form. Would also be good to see the assigned staff member in the jobs tab in client view, saves clicking into job.

  10. There could be many possible things to be able to track in there, but I would like to be able to:

    Limit the 'states' shown to things I am directly involved with like 'For review' and 'For Invoicing'.

    My secretary would want to see states that apply to her like 'to sign'.

    Only show 'Priority level' High and Urgent (with the flick of a keystroke)

    Possibly allow some of the functionality in the 'jobs' tab or the report builder to be 'saved' in the dashboard screen like mini tables that update real time?

  12. XPM include archived clients in XERO search / list endpoints. Similarly, to how contacts in the accounting API are handled by passing the includeArchived=true query. This will allow clients from XPM with a status of ARCHIVED to be included in the response.

  16. Is it possible to add a few extra columns to XPM - All jobs board rather than creating different reports or clicking on different jobs/pages to collate basic client information. I would like to add the following columns to assist with Trusts and Superfunds.

    -Trustee/Company Name
    -Invoice Number

    Currently, if you invoice a Trust e.g. ABC Family Trust for XYZ Pty Ltd (Trustee), I would like to see both entities in Jobs board and not just ABC Family Trust. This comes in handy when chasing payments or matching jobs as a result in separate jobs linked to a Trust or…

  17. XPM Custom Report - Allow field selection & criteria to access client, tax & invoice data. We need to run a report that will check if a tax return was created within a date range and then check if any invoices were created during that same time. Currently we have created a custom report of clients who we have started a tax return for and then we manually have to check if they were invoiced.

  18. It would be great to be able to set up Security Groups with permissions set for each group, which is then applied to each staff member by adding the Staff to that Security Group.

    This way, if a permission needs to be changed for a group of Staff, it can be done at the security group level rather than having to click into each Staff member and edit their individual permissions - which can create inconsistencies and easily miss settings when dealing with a large number of Staff.

When using the group address update, for example, it does not register as a change to all group entities and thus does not push the change for all entities across to integrated programs (such as Xero and HowNow). It is only the individually changed client that gets updated. Can this be fixed so the group update also registers as an update for the rest of the group entities?

  20. It would be helpful to be able to insert a merge field such as 'Tax Year' into the description of a task. Handy when it comes to preparation of the invoice as not all returns are for the current year.
