  1. Would like the ability to see Write-ons / Write-offs on the Invoices dashboard for Draft invoices to allow easier review of drafts.

    Alternatively some form of reporting that takes draft invoices into account vs billable time to see 'draft write-ons/offs'.

  2. Create a Registered Office field in the contact details so that for client companies, we can have a quick view of physical/business, postal and registered office details. Currently, we have had to create a custom field, which you have to scroll down to the bottom of the page to view.

  4. Have recently had a client complain that the card processing description says 'credit card processing fee' however the client paid with debit card and therefore doesn't think they should have been charged processing fee. This terminology needs to be updated to 'card processing fee' for more transparency.

  5. We have a few jobs in the system for a client that was very complex and we have since disengaged. We want to write off all of the time but we do not want any team member to have their write ons/offs affected by these jobs, as the nature of them was incredibly complex and this was due to the way the client prepared and sent the information to us, and not the fault of any of our team members.

  6. I learned the hard way after bulk importing 1,700 jobs on the wrong template that you could not delete those imported jobs in bulk. I spent 4 hours individually opening each job from a report and deleting.

    It would be great to use job manager to be able to select jobs (assuming they haven't got any time, costs or invoices associated with them) and delete.

  7. We have certain clients who are set up under a monthly retainer with all included tasks (scope) under the one job. We need a way to allocate and set milestones or due dates for certain staff at the task level of these jobs.

    The current milestones which can be implemented after a job template is in use has limited functionality as you can only set due dates from the start of the "job" not for each task as due.   8. XPM - Lock timesheets when a draft final invoice has been prepared.
    We are having issues with staff adding time to a job when there is a draft Final invoice that has been created. Then the invoice is approved and the added WIP does not get picked up and sits on the now completed job for us to stumble over months later. It makes sense to lock the timesheets when a Final invoice has been drafted.

  9. Being able to link several jobs with the one invoice raised in Xero blue. When issuing through Practice Ignition, it only allows you to allocate to one invoice in XPM. Moving the timesheets is clunky and inaccurate

  10. When you go into a client and enter the jobs tab, there is no job for that client even though they are part of the group that there is a job for and that client is included within that job. The job only shows for the single client where the job is created.

    The jobs tab already includes sections for active jobs and archived jobs. It should also show a section for jobs assigned to other clients within its group.

    Hi Martin, thanks for sharing this idea! We totally get how useful it would be to have a dedicated report for prepayments and miscellaneous invoices in Xero Practice Manager. It could save time, cut down on errors, and make reporting a lot easier.

    Right now, there’s no built-in option for this, and we know the manual workarounds aren't ideal.

  13. In many accounting software platforms, the established workflow for onboarding a new individual client and preparing their Income Tax Return leverages ATO pre-fill data efficiently.

    This process typically involves:

    • Adding the new client to the ATO portal.
    • Downloading the pre-fill XML file directly from the ATO portal.
    • Saving the downloaded XML file to a local directory.

  14. When each job is created, we manually have to add the contact to the job. If this is not done, the invoice that is pushed to Xero Blue doesn't have contact information and we are unable to utilise the automatic reminders etc. This requires manual monitoring and negates the efficiencies within Xero Blue.

    This manual process would be solved if we had the ability to set the Primary Contact as the default contact on jobs that are created. This could for example, be set up as a tick box in settings. This could give people the option to switch on…

  15. Create the ability to update time entries for draft bills.
    We often have a manager draft the bill and between the bill being created and it being approved by a director, there is additional time added to the job. If there was an option to refresh the bill to include all time before approval, rather than having to delete the bill and start again, that would be amazing!

  17. Xero's feature of importing invoices into XPM is great for clients. But there is no way currently to stop importing them for people who aren't clients. Currently - we sell digital products, which we need to keep invoices for. Every time a digital product is sold, it creates a new client in XPM. They aren't clients.There should be the option to only import if a client exists in XPM.

  19. When using the field [Client] Group(s) as a criteria in step 3 of report builder, you can only specify the relevant client group name in the text field. There's currently no functionality for a drop down list of client groups to select from similar to the clients field. Requesting this as an option

  20. Would be great to create a report in XPM that shows client bank details so we can identify clients that are missing bank details and need to be followed up. This would also avoid the issue with tax returns being lodged with no bank details recorded.
