Navigation - page loads must be faster
The current display of Xero runs and loads VERY slow compared to previous versions. For example most of my clients preferred to work with classic invoicing for as long as possible because the current new invoicing takes up to 3 x as long to open and process. This also goes for reports, bills and all general navigation.
This new homepage will make it worst
Xero is very popular in our area due to accessibility, but the current slow down is starting to become a real problem for new sign ups

Batching purchase invoices
The ability to batch invoices (excuse my swearing) but like in sage where you can batch multiple invoices at once

Global Search Across Bank Accounts | Notifications for user notes | Alerts for floating transactions
Hello team.
I wanted to suggest a few improvements that I believe could significantly enhance the overall experience and efficiency within Xero:
Global Search Across Bank Accounts
Currently, we can only search transactions within the specific bank account being reconciled. This makes it time-consuming to check for similar transactions in other accounts. (esp files with A LOT of bank accounts)
A global search feature that allows us to search by keywords in transaction descriptions across all bank accounts (not just by contact) would be incredibly helpful and save a lot of time.Notifications for User Notes

Good thing is we have an existing idea for searching across all bank accounts that I've added your vote to, and we will share if there is any change.
Around the notification of notes - this sounds similar to what's being asked in this idea for a pop-up reminder for notes when invoicing. However if this doesn't quite match what you're after welcome to start a new idea for that too.
With regards to the alert for unmatched transactions - it would be good to better understand your businesses workflow and when or where you'd expect an alert if this nature - If…

Navigation - Enhance formatting navigation headings
Clarity of 'Navigation' format 'Home / Sales / Purchases' etc - the formatting is not clear enough and does not stand out as the Primary Navigation. Please could this be in 'Bold' or outlined so it is not lost in this new very busy homepage.

Dont change the existng
If it aint broke no need to fix it. The current Desktop is plain and simple and super easy to navigate. The new and 'improved' one is so fussy and full of so much detail, its hard to know where to look first. Perhaps offer a choice of either opting for old one or swapping to new if one if preferred. Very basic and simplistic home page will definitely be preferred by the very small or one man band companies that only hop on for a couple of hours a week. We'd really like to hear the changes within the new experience that'd be most useful for you and you may like to join this one, where customers would like to see a simplified layout.

Save money, sanity and existential crisis, keep focus on running a business.
Create a version of Xero that stays the same, has bare minimal updates and works on 'old' devices (older than 4 years).
Words like 'interface' and 'widget' are incomprehensible to old ***** like me! Have mercy on the old dinosaurs and keep it simple please! I can't be the only user who just wants to do the accounts without learning a whole new IT language and who doesn't want a computer program to dictate when I spend money on a new computer.

With a large customer base it can be tricky to find terms that are the most meaningful and well understood by all customers.
I want to be open that when it comes to the product itself this is something that will continue to evolve as we uplift technology and maintain a reliable service for all our users. This may mean some changes to the look, flows and actions of some functionality but we will do our best to keep language simple and implement changes that make sense for the majority of customers.

I wanted to share some thoughts on the recent updates you’ve been rolling out. While I understand and appreciate the intent to keep Xero evolving and modern, some of the changes are unfortunately having the opposite effect of what they’re meant to achieve.
For example, moving core functions such as account transactions has made it harder to work efficiently. Instead of streamlining processes, I now find myself (and likely many others) having to pause and hunt for things that used to be intuitive. These disruptions ultimately make processing slower.
Timing is also a key concern. Many…

Where are all the reports?? The drop-down box doesn't appear to have access to custom reports, payroll, projects, etc.
Just looking at the prototype here, but apart from the busy mess of a homepage, the reporting menu doesn't seem to lead to reports that are needed - Payroll and Projects for example. And I hope you put a GST report in there somewhere for NZ customers!

We have an idea for simplifying the layout of the Homepage that you may like to join, or if there are specifics you feel would improve this for you then please do add a new idea.
In terms of the Reports menu - You will still be able to get to 'All reports' and those that you find most meaningful can be favourited so they appear directly from the drop down menu.
The GST report will be available from the Tax menu.

Products and services
The prototype homepage shows "Products and Services" only in the 'Sales' menu, for a buyer in the company it would need to be in the 'Purchases' menu as they would not have access to the sales menu
1 voteHey!! thanks so much for taking the time to provide this feedback. Our customers input is really valuable and helps us make improvements to the new Home page. We completely understand your point about the placement of 'Products and Services', for a user with Invoice Only Purchases permission, having it exclusively under the Sales menu would mean they wouldn't have access to the Sales menu at all, making it impossible to see or manage this.

Fix the basics first
It drives me mad that you invest time making all these changes, yet simple and necessary ideas presented over a decade ago have not been implemented. We still can't get the quote title to transfer through to an invoice!! How hard can it be to do that?!?!

I see you have already supported the idea for copying a Quotes title and summary through to an invoice, here.
I know it's disappointing to those that have voted but as I recently shared - this is not something we have plans to develop right now. If this changes at all, we will update everyone, there.
