Hi everyone, thank you for sharing how we could improve Xero Practice Manager for your use. We understand wanting to highlight important client information to make this more prominent and how it'd help your team stay aligned and provide the best possible service to your clients.
Please know that your feedback has been shared with our product team. Right now, we're making improvements to centralise the experience across XPM and HQ, bringing clients under one umbrella with Xero Partner Hub.
Atm we don't have direct plans for enabling the ability to highlight notes but we'll continue to review this as we keep developing this space.
We appreciate your passion and your partnership in helping us build the best possible practice management solution, and will share if there are any updates.

Hi team, following on from my last update though our position remains that we don't have plans for making all reports available in report templates we wanted to share a recent change we have made.
We have unlocked the ability to add client-specific custom reports to Adviser packs, giving you additional flexibility and more comprehensive reporting, which we know has been a key request for some in the idea here.
As mentioned in our last post - we're very keen to continue to understand the interest in specific reports, so if not already please make sure to add your support or start an idea for a the report you'd like to see. Thanks

I'm excited to share a major update that addresses this feedback directly. At Xerocon in September 2025, we announced a new strategic partnership with BGL, a leader in compliance and practice software. Together, we are building a new, deeply integrated Workpapers solution that will be embedded directly within Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and Xero Tax. This new solution is central to our compliance and practice tools roadmap and is designed to provide a seamless experience, leveraging BGL’s expertise in document management. We are pleased to confirm that the ability to add, rename, and reorder supporting documents is a key feature of this new BGL-powered Workpapers solution. This functionality is already available in BGL’s core product, which forms the foundation of our new offering. Hi everyone, thanks for sharing how important it is for your business to have monthly salaried employees complete timesheets for tracking and reporting purposes, without impacting pay run calculations.
Some of you have found workarounds like approving timesheets after processing pay runs, although this may create challenges down the line.
Our product team is currently undertaking a wider review of timesheets, and this idea will be included in that process. Therefore we're updating this idea to Accepted. We'll keep you updated if there are any developments on this.

Hi everyone, thank you for your continued support and for sharing how valuable it is to keep employee documents in one place within Xero Payroll.
We’re pleased to share that this feature is now rolling out in Xero Payroll for all AU customers.
We'll be allowing Payroll Admins to upload files directly to an employee profile, securely store them against the relevant employee, and organise them into folders. They’ll also be able to view, rename, move, sort and delete files, with access restricted to Payroll Admins.
Expanding the feature to NZ and the UK isn’t on the roadmap just yet, but it’s something we’ll continue to consider as part of longer-term improvements. We’ve created separate ideas for these regions and added relevant voters from the idea here.
