    Hi everyone, I want to assure you your voice is heard here and feedback is being shared back with our product teams.

    We understand the desire to get this idea moving along and as mentioned in our last update we know this is an area that more controls and permissions would be most beneficial to our customers.

    We’d like to share progress that we’re making for banking permissions - Work to provide more controls of sensitive banking information has started and will initially include the ability to restrict users from seeing sensitive banking information such as; account balances, bank transactions, and financial summaries.

    We know this doesn’t relieve all pain points of this idea - It’ll be the first phase, a stepping stone of sorts in the development of per-bank controls.

    As development continues we’ll share further updates as soon as they’re available with you all here.

    Hey everyone, we've been following the conversation closely and we want to acknowledge how important this is for many of you.

    Atm, we’re on a long journey to provide more controls within Xero features that our customers need. Being such a broad idea that touches many areas of our platform, we’d like to encourage adding your votes to specific user permissions that matter most to you, such as:

    Anyone wondering if Xero will implement this... this thread is only a year old, so based on other critical requests from customers, we're probably looking at this being implemented by 2032 soonest.

    How many more of your customers need to scream and shout on this thread before you listen to them? The access levels and permissions are all over the place! I need a member of staff to reconcile certain bank accounts, but not all of them and not to see the current balance of accounts (and everyone's wages!) yet that's not remotely possible without giving out full access. Sort it our Xero.

    Seems, just like on every other feature request, we have all been talking amongst ourselves for years. Xero couldn’t care less.

    I had a good laugh when the new CEO sent a message out to say how she’s going to specifically focus on user feedback and what the client base wants.

    Anybody know her email? We should all start forwarding these requests directly to her.

    Any major software developers should be using these forums for creating a new platform!

    This is vital - a second reference field will allow us to complete our auto matching process with the Invoices which our suppliers send us. It would also mean we can then actually use the remittance emails. At the moment we have to manually send remittances using a spreadsheet because we are using the Reference field for our own internal reference.
