An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Kim Brodie commentedHi everyone, an update on this issue. I checked in with Xero and this issue is not on the list of items they are currently working or in the category of 'will be working on next' which is very disappointing.
There are a lot of issues with the new invoicing which are in line to be fixed (some of which used to work before) and these have been given priority. However, despite our issue being something that also used to work previously, it has so far not made the future work list.
Note that our issue was created by a change in February this year BEFORE the new invoicing came in. I have asked for it to be escalated but a resolution could be a long while coming. An error occurred while saving the comment Kim Brodie commentedI've just checked on the timing for a resolution to this issue which has caused a problem to all these businesses but nothing was advised. We will need to wait for more people's businesses to be affected to make it up the priority list by the looks.
An error occurred while saving the comment Kim Brodie commentedDespite all of these businesses and likely more being affected by this change that Xero has made when it wasn't an issue before, it appears that we are not a priority as yet. Refer the reply I got in regard to timing of this, which does not tell us anything:
We’re sorry you feel this way, but can assure you we're listening to your suggestions as we're committed to improving Xero for all users.
We receive large volumes of wide ranging requests from our customers, which are all regularly reviewed, analysed and prioritised by our product team.
A rarely submitted feature request might be superb and very valuable but may be competing against a common request that may be perceived to be less valuable. We do try to take all elements into consideration.
The reason we don't make our Development Plan public is so that we can retain flexibility regarding features included in releases. We do mention some planned features on our blog, but as others are more susceptible to change, we'd rather under-promise and over-deliver than vice versa.
We really hope you understand the complexities involved and don't feel we're ignoring you even
though the features you've requested aren't immediately included. We also hope you continue
to submit your feedback, suggestions, frustrations and comments as this really does help us to
improve Xero.
Thank you again for your feedback.
An error occurred while saving the comment Kim Brodie commentedThis is still causing issues and we need to have a resolution on this. Those who have commented here will not be the only ones affected, as many companies have trading names. When can we expect a change here?

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing your support for part disposal of Fixed Assets in Xero. Being transparent - current work for the team requires focus on upgrades to Fixed Asset technology.
However, we’re thinking of what comes next and partial disposal of an asset figures strongly in this. Please continue to detail your particular use cases here in Product Ideas.
As we continue forming the future of Fixed Assets in Xero insights from Product Ideas here will feed into the team's plans. An error occurred while saving the comment Kim Brodie commentedAn asset list was entered to Xero when we took over the company which included 2 x items as one entry. This feature would have been good as some assets were disposed of immediately after we took over.
Hi Rob, thanks for flagging the other issue - good to know.
In regard to this post, the issue we are awaiting resolution to is a change made to Classic invoicing in February, before New Invoicing even rolled out. So switching back to Classic doesn't help us as Xero's change was in Classic and not subsequently been fixed with the New Invoicing.
