Hi everyone, thanks for sharing how a detailed Profit and Loss report could support your workflow.
Atm, the Account Transactions report can be run grouped and filtered by Account, which could then be exported to Excel for further sorting and analysis. While we appreciate it takes a few steps, it can give you the transaction-level detail you’re after.
Alternatively, clicking on any figure in the Profit and Loss report will take you directly to the corresponding Account Transactions report, showing the individual transactions that make up that total.
Our product team has moved this idea to Not in pipeline, meaning it isn't on the foreseeable roadmap. However, the idea will remain open for votes so we can continue to monitor community interest as we plan for the future.

Appreciate the momentum behind this idea everyone, and we very much understand wanting an update on this idea.
With a refreshed purchase orders experience currently being rolled out to customers this is a feature being considered by product, considering the new technology that purchase orders is built on.
I can't provide confirmation just yet but want you to all know that your support and feedback for being able to assign a purchase order to a project is heard and as soon as I have an update will share this with our community here. Thanks

Very disappointing, Xero. The time this has taken to implement is unacceptable - coming from a very early supporter of Xero, investor in the company and early Xero Advisor.
As a long standing Xero partner, hugely disappointed that Xero has not yet developed this. So basic!
