Hi team, we appreciate hearing how splitting batch payments could make reconciliation faster and less manual, especially when only one invoice from a batch is paid and the rest remain outstanding.
We agree there’s a real opportunity here to simplify the process. While this isn’t something we’re building right now, it’s part of a broader set of ideas we’re considering as we look at how to make reconciliation more flexible and efficient.
For UK and US customers we have online bill payments that make the batch and reconciliation process much simpler - If you’re not too familiar with online bill payments you can get to know more through Xero Central and learn if this solution is right for you;

Absolutely agree, especially when setting payment batches up for clients to more easily make payments from their bank. At the moment, they have to click into the batch to figure out who they're paying.

Hey everyone, thanks so much for sharing all your ideas and detailed suggestions for a comprehensive Audit Trail Report.
Through some of the comments in this discussion we wanted to highlight the Journal Report that may help with visibility of detail some are after. We've taken on board your thoughts on how this could be enhanced, like including an 'edited date' column and improving the export to Excel, however this is not in the roadmap right now.
Being open, providing a complete audit trail of every single event and change within an organisation is not in our plans.
That said, it’d help to gather interest in specific items you'd like to see added within the history and notes and I've shared links to a few ideas that have already been started on the platform. We welcome you to add your vote, or start a new idea for those that'd be…

Hi Alex - that's great news!
I'd certainly be interested in this if you could post the details here when ready as you've suggested. It's a shame Xero can't have this integrated into the system (it's an absolute basic tool for accountants) but this would be very helpful!

Appreciate wanting history for Xero Ask queries.
This was briefly looked into, however I do want to confirm that there are no plans for developing history for Xero Ask at this time.
We'll move the status of this idea back to submitted and continue to get a sense of the interest around this, here.

Completely agree, we also need fixed reports that show the figures on the previous submission(s). We're having to resubmit almost all CIS returns for the whole year due to differences, because we don't know which have changed and which haven't, we just know we have differences.
