Hi everyone, we appreciate the interest in being able to add dates to individual lines of an invoice. Currently our team are focused on improvements to new invoicing and we want to be upfront we don't have any plans for adding a date column to the details grid within an invoice atm.
Right now if you do require dates for individual line items we'd recommend adding these within the Description field of the line.
We will continue to review this as we continue to evolve the product. If there are any updates or changes, we'll share this all with you through the idea here. Thanks

If I get an appointment with a healthcare provider, their invoice will list the date of my appointment. However I can't do the same for my customers when I provide a service for them.
Yes, I can add the date into the description, but that doesn't work for reoccurring invoices where I wish to invoice a client for a service provided every "Monday and Wednesday" of each week.
I'm kinda surprised that having a date a service was provided isn't part of Xero's system already. Really hoping this can be added ASAP to all individual invoices, and then added to reoccurring invoices later on once you figure out how to do it.

I had a customer pop up as a vendor for some reason. I asked support for assistance to remove them as a vendor because they shouldn’t be there and was told it’s impossible. WTAF. 😳
They told me I should add it as a product suggestion. So… here I am.
Please add two checkboxes that we can choose if someone is a customer or a vendor. Give us the power to choose what someone is, rather than having the system decide for us. Because if the system gets it wrong, there’s nothing we can do about it.

An error occurred while saving the comment Raz Ritherdon commentedJust tried to add my Insta page to my company details and was kinda gob-smacked that Xero has listings for Skype (is that even still a thing?), but not Insta.
These days, I would consider Insta and What'sApp to be more relevant than Skype.
Perhaps they should also consider future-proofing these fields by not only adding Insta and What'sApp, but also a blank listing so that companies can list the social media listing that's relevant to them. Be it LinkedIn, YouTube, Tiktok, or whatever the next big social media platform will be.

I don’t understand how this isn’t part of Xero already.
If I invoice my customers for a service I provide, it needs to have the date I provided that service.
And yes, we can go into the details and add the date into the description manually, but that doesn’t work for recurring invoices.
Why is that my calendar on my iPhone has more functionally than Xero?
We should not only be able to set a date, but we should also be able to set recurring dates for recurring invoices.
Eg. My gardener mows my lawns on the first Monday of every month, or a Monday every two weeks, or the 14th of every month.
