Hi everyone, understand the difference between a description only line and what's being asked for in the idea here.
This isn't something we have planned at present.
We do want to highlight the existing option for anyone interested that could benefit from the option mentioned earlier in the conversation (thanks, Paco)
Currently, it is possible to 'description' only lines to an invoice (with no Qty or Price) where you can enter up to 4000 characters worth of detail that could help you signal a note within an invoice to your customer.
We will continue to assess ideas in the forum here and let you know if there are any changes surrounding this to share.

Here to show my support, because Xero lack any drive to make their users live easier!
Every month we have SaaS apps billed in USD that we need to adjust to make sure spend matches what we're charged. Every month I wonder why it's taken this long.
PS, Congratulations Kelly, if you're neé Munro, and have got married in the intervening 2.5+ years!

Hi everyone, we wanted to return and give you an update here. As mentioned in our last post - we want to be forth right that we don't have any plans to remove 'Powered by Xero' from emails sent from Xero, with intentional purpose and based on findings from interactions we can see having true benefit to customers in getting paid faster.
That said, we appreciate the feedback we've received and have made changes since this was initially raised to reduce the size of the footer where this is shown and have removed the hyperlink to xero.com. We will continue to develop the invoice email to continue to drive improvements for our customers and the ways you receive payments.

Echoing the comments here - we're paying for a service, not to advertise on your behalf.
It's especially galling given the poor level of service / capacity issues on bills and expenses that are still only 'on the radar'.

When adding a product to an invoice line it should not overwrite, or prompt to keep, existing descriptions, quantities, prices, etc (the other fields on that line).
Currently if you have an existing line and go to add a product it replaces any text, prices, tax, etc on that line item. Sometimes we want to adjust a product without that happening.
