While not specifically in account codes, it'd be good to know if setting Tracking defaults on Contacts could be useful to you here?
While I'd recommend testing with the demo co. first - Find & Recode could be used to bulk assign tracking to items, post import.

An error occurred while saving the comment Emily Meese commentedWe are a seasonal business and I've just discovered all my returning employees I have to re-enter as new employees! There's a lot of work involved with re-entering IRD numbers, bank account numbers etc. All things that either don't change or rarely change. And to pile it on, you also have to go back and delete their email address to be able to enter it again?? Ridiculous, I'm very unhappy I can't simply add a new start date like every other payroll system I've used (and re-check their details of course).
What a waste of time, I'm really disappointed in this.Emily Meese supported this idea · -

Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I’m pleased to let you know that this has been delivered for UK Payroll initially! It includes the ability to select the date range you’re interested in, and check boxes to either select all results or multiple. Then you can download your selection as a single PDF of multiple payslips.
For users in AU and NZ we know this is a highly anticipated feature, however to be open this is not any immediate plans for those teams so we’ll leave this idea open. While we appreciate it doesn’t help employers needing bulk downloads, employees can be invited into the Xero Me portal to self-serve payslip collection.

Yes please as we have quite a few account codes specifically set to a tracking category already and I'd really like to be able to assign those a tracking category. Without this I'm not sure I'll use tracking categories because it'll be double work every time.
