This is critical for us. Hugely embarrassing for the accountants who recommended Xero to us. The worst part is the lack of communication from Xero - in the face of such extensive and sustained customer request for this function. If it was difficult to do then perhaps it would be more understandable. It is unfathomable why this has not been done before now. I really wish Xero would explain, or better still just make the changes.

Xero clearly don't give a **** about their customers - not even the courtesy to reply or explain why this can't (won't) be done. It's appalling. If there was a reason then people would understand but to create a topic for discussion then do absolutely nothing about it and not engage at all is just insulting towards their paying customers. The topic box here is just to allow people to vent internally and not take the problem out to wider social media and google etc.

This is such an important feature - and is split across/ duplicated in at least one other "idea" .
I love so much of Xero but i don't understand why Xero will not give an update /feedback on why this is not possible for them to add as a feature/role.
To me it doesn't feel like a difficult thing to add, nor does it feel like it would be a divisive thing. So I just don't understand why Xero won't give any updates at all on this request.

This is really important to us. I love most of Xero but we are close to having to look at other competitors if this can't be resolved. Is there not a solution already? I would hope that Xero Team would monitor the thread and update us if there is a work around or solution?

Critical for team to be able to add and update product info, pricing etc - without needing to have access to bank account etc. Completely different level of team member and doesn;t need owner/director level to do this.

Hey everyone, thank you for all your feedback. We’re on a long journey to provide more granular access and controls within Xero features that our customers need.
As you may have seen in some of our recent updates across other user roles ideas we’re currently in the process of adding more permissions within Reporting and Inventory. Further to this our research has highlighted Payroll and Banking as areas that more controls are most needed, and are on our agenda as we continue to develop permissions and access to features.
Your feedback here and through direct engagements with our teams have been extremely insightful, and we appreciate all your inputs.
I'll continue to provide updates on the development of roles for features as we progress.

Hey everyone, we've been following the conversation closely and we want to acknowledge how important this is for many of you.
Atm, we’re on a long journey to provide more controls within Xero features that our customers need. Being such a broad idea that touches many areas of our platform, we’d like to encourage adding your votes to specific user permissions that matter most to you, such as:
- Bank Accounts: For more control over who can see bank account balances and access specific accounts, please see the idea here: User Role - Restrict access to individual bank accounts

It is staggering that Xero don't respond to this. If there is a reason that this can't be added then just explain, or give the updates Kelly Munro has promised. I think Xero is great in so many ways but this is forcing us to look elsewhere as we want to grow.
