Ten years and still waiting - whether or not it is quick and easy to do there is absolutely no sign of Xero caring one jot about fixing such a fundamental flaw.

This is an absolutely fundamental requirement for claiming billable expenses, and working around it is time-consuming (and therefore costly!) and delays invoicing (which for a one-person business doesn't help cashflow).

Thanks so much for sharing your feedback on this idea, community. We appreciate that having to manually select attachments on every invoice can feel a little fiddly. We get that you want a smoother workflow, that saves you time.

As noted by others in the idea, one option for now would be to add standard files, like your terms and conditions, directly to your invoice template. That way, they'll be included automatically when you send out your invoices.

To confirm how this functionality currently works - this is based on the user and driven by the last invoice that was sent. Where you have files attached, and you had selected to include files as an attachment when emailing the invoice, the next invoice you send with file attachments should have this selected by default.

A caveat to this is when you are working in incognito mode, or refresh your browser…

Hi everyone, we appreciate the importance of being able to view and understand where billable expenses have and haven't been assigned. While we have keen eyes on the idea here, with other big pieces of work on the go we want to be open that this is not in the roadmap atm.
We want you to know we're taking on board all your feedback here, and will continue to stay across this, and keep you updated of any news or progress that'll improve visibility for your needs here.

Can't confirm for Canada but I'm UK and definitely not seeing it.

Furthermore I'd be happier if it (also) showed in the Account Transactions page for an account, this is where I work more than the bills view. It is easy to see that each line has or hasn't a file attached, to see it has or hasn't been assigned to a client would be a big help (and I assume little different in implementation to getting it on the billing page too).
