Hi everyone, thanks for sharing how important it is for your business to have monthly salaried employees complete timesheets for tracking and reporting purposes, without impacting pay run calculations.
Some of you have found workarounds like approving timesheets after processing pay runs, although this may create challenges down the line.
Our product team is currently undertaking a wider review of timesheets, and this idea will be included in that process. Therefore we're updating this idea to Accepted. We'll keep you updated if there are any developments on this.

Hi everyone, thanks for getting behind this idea and sharing the need for employees to add multiple earnings rates to Start and End timesheets.
Your examples demonstrate how different earnings rates in a single timesheet would save time and improve payroll accuracy for industries with varied awards.
We understand many of you are currently editing timesheets after employees submit them, which adds extra steps.
The good news is that idea is now in discovery. Our product team is currently reviewing the viability of this idea and exploring what a solution could look like.
We will post an update here as soon as we have more news.

it would be great it Xero created a timesheet that employees can clock in and out of tracking categories with a gps and time tracker so companies have better time management and job costings. this will save companies having to use other apps/systems for employee tracking purposes.
As well as;
Salary employees being able to use timesheets that don't tamper with their salary that is set within payroll. That allows their hours & costings to still be accumulated over the tracking categories they do within their time sheets. This will help companies have a better break down of their job costings and hours spent on the jobs or areas within the company, which will reflect better on their profit and loss's.
