    Hi everyone, we’ve taken time to review the suggestion to include custom fields for both invoices and contacts, and recognise the value it'd bring in helping users capture more detailed information and avoid manual processes.

    However, with other focuses drawing the teams attention such as multiple addresses this idea is not on our current development roadmap.

    As we continue to plan future roadmaps, being highly supported this idea will continue to be considered, however we want to be open about it's current position with you all here. We appreciate you sharing your feedback and for your ongoing participation in the Xero community. Any changes to this status will be shared with everyone on this idea.

    Xero can print to bank approved customized check stock that I can order. Xero does not have the ability to print to customized bank deposit slips that I can order, requiring clients to hand write deposit slips with customer payments before going to the bank. Clients in the USA still pay by check which need to be itemized on deposit slips. This ability is a huge advantage to the competition when discussing software options with clients.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the interest surrounding this idea, however we want to be open that we're unable to extend our log-out time past 60 minutes. Xero hold a lot of sensitive information including bank data and we're required to be as secure as online banking.
    Any session information running on a web browser can potentially be stolen. If the session does not time out. You then have an infinitely long vulnerability window to session hijacking. Our best option is to keep a tight expiration window on the session cookie, and regenerate them frequently. Even setting a long timeout doesn't help with this - too long a timeout will greatly increase the risk of invasion or potentially jeopardise your personal data and the safety and integrity of the Xero application itself. This is why we maintain control of this.

    In the meantime, you might like to use Xero's own authenticator app, Xero Verify, which does support push notifications when you log in.

    One of Xero's shortcomings is that I need to login so many times each day, much more than the competition. I like Xero, but this is one (of my two) irritations.

    Passkeys are really convenient, and safer than passwords. Xero could take a big jump ahead if they would adopt this tech as an option.

    Add a "Print Deposit Summary" template compatible with the custom preprinted Laser Deposit slips offered by many suppliers. All check suppliers seem to follow the same format for their slips, which does not work with Xero's summary. Example attached.
