    Hi community, as mentioned in my last post we want to keep you looped in on changes around autosave.

    Our product team has continued to focus attention on how we can make invoicing faster and more responsive to improve our customers' experience.

    We've now optimised autosave to require less processing power, leading to faster invoice loading and saving.

    While we don't have any plans to remove autosave, there is the possibility that we would make updates to improve experiences related to autosave in the future - I've provided links below to ideas that have been raised and remain open for consideration;

    Thanks again for all your feedback and sharing with us in the forums here.

    Hey Xero,
    Just coming back to say that I just lost another 20 line items that could have been easily restored in old invoicing

    Thanks for listening to our feedback and ignoring it.

    Come on Xero pay attention to your users. This is a critical option to prevent lost work and you haven't even acknowledged it with over 250 votes

    Came here after trying the new "improved" invoicing and found I lost a tonne of data. My invoices get created by a quotation program when they are accepted and when there are only a few line items being invoiced each month I copy to a new invoice and delete the invoiced items off the original. Just made a mistake and deleted 20 incorrect lines, but where I used to be able to just hit refresh to reload the origianl, autosave made that very much permanent for me.
    Xero really sucks these days

    Hi all, appreciate the interest in this idea and its importance to help reduce eye strain and headaches for improved user comfort, especially during extended usage.

    We understand that this has been a longstanding request, and we genuinely appreciate your patience and dedication to making Xero an even better platform for all.

    While this may be a function we look to explore in the long-term, we want to be upfront that this is not something we'll be developing in the near term due to the complexities involved and the need to prioritise other impactful updates. We know that this may be disappointing but hope that this provides some clarity.

    In the meantime, as some users have mentioned you may be able to use a third-party app like Google's High Contrast, which allows you to change the colour on your screen to make it easier to read.

    Wow. Can't believe something that is standard in almost every app isn't important enough for Xero to even plan for it.
    How about hire some real developers to implement what the users actually want and stop changing everything to be full of white space. Maybe then your price increases will be justified.

    I work at night and using Xero is like staring into the fire of a thousand suns. Please prioritise this
