Hey team 😊 happy to come back to share that this work is now underway with our product team as they begin development for managing files within Xero Payroll.
We really value the feedback we've received from you all in this idea, which has helped inform our teams approach to developing a solution that will fit majority of needs.
I'll return to share as we get nearer to release with more information on what this looks like including where and how you'll be able to attach files in Payroll.

This would be a huge benefit for us if we could attach documents to payslips, please could this be considered

Hi everyone, thanks for all your feedback. We understand how important customisable payroll access is for many of our customers to effectively run their business. As you may have seen in other parts of Xero (like inventory & reporting) we’re beginning to develop more granular controls for permissions in some areas.
While we’ll continue to consider how we develop access to other features across Xero, we want to be upfront here that we don’t have any plans for providing the ability to disable access to timesheets or leave through the Xero Me app.
With this in mind, we’ll move this idea to Not in pipeline. You’ll see there are other ideas surrounding Payroll permissions that may solve for what you’d be after in this idea, and I’d recommend adding your vote to those so we can share if there’s any progress toward that functionality as we keep developing.

We are in the process of setting up Xero to integrate with Eque2. We will not be using Timesheets within Xero payroll. We don't want our employees to be able to use this function as part of Xero Me, as this cause confusion, so it is vital for our company that we are able disable this function

The Apprenticeship Levy functionality is essential to ensure compliance. As an SME approaching the £3 million threshold, this feature is critical for us. If Xero does not implement this functionality before April 2026, we will have no choice but to transition to an alternative payroll provider.
