Hi all, just updating the status of this idea to Accepted here, to align with our new statuses for Xero Product ideas. You can read more about this on our blog.

We're also pleased to see in your comments here that CAF have introduced QFX file types for downloading transactions - this'll make manually importing more streamlined until a bank feed is made available.

As per our last update, we appreciate all the interest a feed for CAF has gained and we want you to know this has definitely got attention from our product team, and something they hope to explore in the future however we can't provide any timeframes at this time. I'll be sure to keep you updated of any progress that moves this along. Thanks

@Rachel Salisbury, I completely agree, it's a mess and a complete downgrade. I have also reported an issue with QFX files where the end date of transactions is wrong causing Xero to show a statement date far in the future.
Regarding card transactions showing only as POS, the Merchant Name can be found on the transactions page by clicking the drop-down (see attached). But obviously this is not a convenient workaround.

We really need a bank feed from CAF ASAP and any planned timeframes.would be greatly appreciated. Please raise this as a priority for the product team.

I can't speak for Daniel, but I have this issue when producing the Account Transactions report. We create a batch payment for multiple expense claims. If I generate an AT report for an Expenses account which has expense claims coded to it, each claim shows as follows:

    Source: Payable Payment
    Contact: [Contact Name]
    Description: Payment: [Contact Name]
    Reference: Expense Claims

It would be really helpful to see the Description of the expense as it was entered in the expense claim, rather than just the Contact which is already shown in the Contact column. See attached for an example of what I mean.

If you click on a transaction it takes you to the Batch Payment which also doesn't show the description of the expense.

Thank you for your engagement on this idea. To help explain a little on how this works in the Account Transactions(AT) report - what shows in the Description field when running the report is dependent on the type of account you're running the report for.

For example, when running the AT report for a bank account, transactions will show the Contact name in the Description field. This is because the detail that is entered on each description line in the body of a transaction relates to the account the line item is coded to.

To see the detail, you'll need to run the report for the account code, not the bank account. This is also how the report works for some other accounts such as the system sales tax account, Account Receivable, and Accounts Payable.

If you're trying to find the account a bank transaction or system account line has…
