Hi everyone, we wanted to return and give you an update here. As mentioned in our last post - we want to be forth right that we don't have any plans to remove 'Powered by Xero' from emails sent from Xero, with intentional purpose and based on findings from interactions we can see having true benefit to customers in getting paid faster.
That said, we appreciate the feedback we've received and have made changes since this was initially raised to reduce the size of the footer where this is shown and have removed the hyperlink to xero.com. We will continue to develop the invoice email to continue to drive improvements for our customers and the ways you receive payments.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts and adding your vote to this idea! We totally get how important it is to keep your customer contact info accurate and up to date. An automatic update feature through invoicing sounds like a great way to save you some valuable time.
Right now, if you send an invoice to an email that’s not already linked to a contact, you’ll need to add that email manually in Xero. The current setup is designed to be flexible so you can send invoices to multiple emails without changing the contact record. But we can definitely see how this feature would speed things up for you.

Thanks for raising the idea with us. Our team are aware of the mandate of eInvoicing for Germany. While we don't have immediate work planned at this stage our plan is to support any Peppol-enabled region in the long term and we are paying close attention to the interest from users on this idea. We'll be sure to update of any progress surrounding this for you, here.
The mandate currently states "The new legal regulation currently contains no specifications for the electronic transmission of electronic invoices. An email inbox should therefore initially be sufficient to receive an electronic invoice."
Based on this, currently with Xero an eInvoice could be received by using our Email to bills service, or by including the invoice as an attachment and sending to your organisation's Files library. On agreement with your suppliers you could share your bills, or files library email with them so…

Thanks for raising the idea here, Maria. Will be good to get a sense of the interest in being able to view invoices as exclusive when entered as inclusive. We don't have any immediate plans for changing this but I'll be sure to let you know if there's any change.
We have a separate idea tracking the ability to view the account number that I'd recommend joining for any information or updates around this.

Hi community, we appreciate your on-going support in this idea.
We wanted to confirm that sending invoices via SMS is now available in Australia, New Zealand, the UK and the US.
Sending invoice reminders via SMS isn't in our current roadmap, however we appreciate wanting consistency in sending methods and we're continuing to keep this in mind as we develop our invoice flows in Xero.
We'll move this idea to Accepted for the time being and be sure to share if there's any developments surrounding this to share with you all here.

Hi everyone, we appreciate previous feedback on this idea, however there are multiple ideas wrapped up in the one here that I'd like to unpack a little and share some updates on.
Invoicing in Xero now has autosave, whereby as soon as a contact is added to the invoice it'll begin to autosave and if you accidentally move to another page when invoicing, you should find this in your drafts when you return.
While auto save is encompassed in invoicing we don't have direct plans for building this into Quotes at this time, we have another idea around this that you can join for any updates.
We know that some customers like to engage with their customers through other channels like Whatsapp and have an idea for sending quotes, and another for sending invoices that you can add your support and stay updated through.

Thanks for sharing your interest in being able to send invoices via WhatsApp from Xero.
While this isn't a direct feature available in Xero right now, an option right now for invoices is to use the Xero Accounting app where you can retrieve the link for the invoice to share this via another app on your device, like WhatsApp - we have help on this for iOS and Android in Xero Central.
We're continuing to get a sense of the support for this feature through this idea but want to be open this isn't something we have plans for at this time.

Hi team, we appreciate the on-going support and feedback we're receiving on this idea and pleased to be able to share this update. Our product team are actively exploring how we can best solve for the needs raised here, although at this time are unable to provide any set timeframes.
They are very much aware of the appetite from our community on this, and as part of their exploration have reached out some users here as they gather insights.
For the time being we'll shift to In discovery and I'll return as soon as there is more on this to share.

This suggestion have been helpful, but I beleive Xero should handle the Month & Year combination. Lets say I invoice on 20th December 2024, and the Reference in my Invoice needs to say "Software Subscriptions for January 2025".
I can't really use "Software Subscriptions for [Month+1] [Year]"
as 20/12/2024 would be "Software Subscriptions for January 2024"It is important that I have the correct month and year in my Reference and in the Email cover letter.

Thanks for sharing details behind your needs in this request, everyone.
Right now, accepting deposits with Stripe (that’s in the process of being rolled out) is limited to approved invoices rather than quotes, so paying directly from a quote isn’t supported in the current release.
We do see the value in enabling payment earlier in the sales flow, and future plans for deposits include exploring earlier stages such as quote-based workflows. We’ll return with more news here if, and when that becomes more concrete.

With the implementation of Google and Yahoo email security please enable the ability to send out invoice, quotes and statements using our own domain.
We are seeing more emails that are sent from within Xero being flagged as Spam or put in Quarantine, especially if the recipient is using Outlook 365.
Xero needs to implement the ability to send from Xero from our own domain.
Please furnish us with SPF sending ip/include host name and DKIM certificate. This will reduce the number of email blocked/junkmail, and increase the security of mail sending.
