Hi team, thank you for your thorough feedback in this idea. We appreciate there are different preferences our users have when approving invoices in Xero and just to re-highlight - there are now keyboard shortcuts available for most action buttons in invoicing to help navigate and quickly select the option you prefer rather than the drop down selection.
Though we understand it is not the news you're hoping here we want to be transparent that there are no plans at this stage to add the ability to set your own default for the Approve button in invoicing.
We will continue to track the support this idea keeps building and be sure to let you know if there is any change to the status of this idea, here.

Hi everyone, appreciate your continued feedback on new invoicing. As mentioned in my last update we've now added a new Xero Central page for new invoicing.
Along with updates to individual ideas on Xero Product Ideas, this page will become the single source of truth for key feature rollouts including:
- what’s available in new invoicing right now,
- timelines for features and enhancements going live in new invoicing, as well as
- a comparison table between the classic and newer versions of invoicing.
We'll be updating this page regularly.
Relating to some of the more recent feedback there are some existing ideas that may also be of particular interest that you can join, like the ability to see the email the invoice was sent to in the history, or being able to see a timestamp, and reducing clicks and steps.

Vote to keep classic please.
I'm genuinely fuming at the developers who don't listen and clearly don't use their own product. They've added a whole bunch of features that, as far as I can tell, no one was calling for and in the process ruined the original functionality.
Going to leave if they persist with this useless update.
Absolutely doing my head in also. Why assume what we want? Give us the option!
Quickbooks has had this function for quite some time. Quickbooks these days is seeming more and more attractive, not least because talking to anyone at Xero is like hitting your head against a wall.
This whole new invoicing has been a shambles, adding in features that, as far as I can tell, no one was asking for, and in doing so ruining what was a perfectly good invoicing screen.
Xero, in case you haven't picked up, i'm an increasingly unhappy customer.
