Hi community, I know it's been some time since our last update here. Though we're continuing to follow and track the interest in automatic calculation of wine equalisation tax within Xero, for the time being this isn't something we've planned.
As some may have received detail from our support team on there is a way we suggest you can record your WET liabilities and credits within Xero - See our post on this discussion for the detail. Alternatively, there are app partners you could explore on the Xero app store.
If there are any changes around this we will be back to share with you all on this idea.

Thanks for the great discussion and all the votes on this idea. We know that without the ability to set specific leave approvers, it can be harder to keep governance clear, avoid self-approval and ensure requests go to the right person.
While we’re not planning to develop dedicated approval workflows in the near term, we want to share a tip that many have found useful. You can help streamline the process by guiding employees to select their direct manager from the approver list. While all payroll admins and leave approvers are listed, this step helps make sure requests reach the right person and keeps oversight clear.
Your feedback here is incredibly valuable for future planning and we’ll continue to keep an eye on this idea’s traction. We’ll keep it open for voting and will share any updates if plans change down the track.

Thanks to everyone following this idea. We understand how being able to import and export pay items would positively impact your review processes.
Though this isn’t currently in the roadmap, we see the value this’d bring in regards to pay award updates. We’ve updated the idea status to accepted and we’ll share any future developments, here. Your input in idea’s is always appreciated.

This is critical for our business model as we deal with franchise operations, so the pay category data is identical for each new xero file we create.
I am trying to provide an efficient and cost effective service for my clients, and this is becoming harder and harder using Xero for the accounting software. Its already costing clients at the top end of software available and it doesn't even deal with WET properly so I have to do a number of work arounds manually. Not sure how much longer I can convince clients to stick with Xero to be honest.
