Appreciate your feedback, Selwyn. We try to keep each idea separate so it's clear to others in community what they're adding their vote for, we can gauge the interest in a particular feature, and we can keep everyone updated of any development.
In relation to the points you've shared here we have an idea you may like to join around being able to switch off autosave, and another around the auto suggest feature that current fills in the account GL field for you and relates to your second point on leaving this blank.
Our team did make some changes to the flow of tabbing, so this should be more logical however it'd be good to get more detail on what's causing you issues when tabbing in new invoicing atm.
It might help to get a bit more detail about the billable expense scenario you're running into, too. In terms…

Hi everyone, we appreciate the importance of being able to view and understand where billable expenses have and haven't been assigned. While we have keen eyes on the idea here, with other big pieces of work on the go we want to be open that this is not in the roadmap atm.

I assign expenses from Bills to Clients and that cool, but when the client say can you invoice it to a different company it removes the billable expenses and I have to go back to all the Bills and re-assign the expenses to the new client details. Why can it not just ask to leave the billable expenses rather than delete them. I takes a long time to go back over 5-10 Bills and re assign them.

Yes, This option would be good, when you have a list of items on the billable expenses page from multiple bills for a customer that you have already invoiced,

Or at least a cancel option in case you make an error on the invoice and need to go back into it to correct it. Autosave has no ability to cancel a stuff up.

To give an update on recent deliveries that positively impact some of you that have shared on the idea here. Late last year we released improvements to the issue and due date fields so you can now use all the date entry shortcuts that were available in classic, and we made it simpler to access the date picker. We also updated the Files attachment modal so you can now drag & drop files anywhere on the page, and when you use tracked inventory you can see the number of items…

Appreciate the interest in being able to search by description. While we're attentive to your feedback, I want to be open that we don't have any immediate plans for developing this atm.
We're staying close to feedback on how we can improve navigation for our customers when using Xero, and I'll let you know if there is any development planned surrounding this, here. Thanks

Yes a search function that gives a in-depth search, of descriptions of line items.
When I note a serial number or have sold a item and need to track when it was sold for a warranty claim, rather than having to search through several invoices over a 1 or 2 year period then find that item for warranty is a very long process.
Should be basic functionality. -

Hi team, while not a solve for an updated 'look' of the dashboard we wanted to make sure everyone on this idea was aware of some of the shortcuts that can help you get around and create transactions from many screens.
The '+' icon next to Search in the blue banner enables you to create a range of different document types, similarly there are shortcuts that can be entered in Search from the blue navigation bar that will take you to different features such as bank accounts, the files library or reports. How about having the ability to get fast access to some functions.
Example , on the billing page, where the New Bill Dropdown is, how about a new Credit Note Button, and the same appropriate on the Invoices page.
Also these would be great if they were available on the Dashboard.
Really so you don't have to go through 3-4 paged to get to a new credit note etc...Selwyn Cook supported this idea ·
An example is we assign billable expenses to the customer and create a invoice.
They then ask us to change the company that is going to be billed and we can then open the invoice and change the person that we are invoicing , and at that Point the billable expenses are removed , so I may have to reopen 10-15 invoices and re-assign the expense to the new customer. very time consuming.
it didnt do this on the old invoicing.
Maybe it could ask to keep the assignable expenses before it just removes them.
