Hi community, thanks so much for the great feedback so far. The changes to Tier 3 reporting standards - especially around grant categorisation are clearly important, and it’s great to see this idea gaining momentum quickly.

This request is now in the Gaining Support stage, so it’s on our radar for further consideration. If you’re using Tier 3 reporting, we’d love to hear more about what specific features or improvements would help you most. Your input really helps guide the product team’s priorities.

Please keep the votes and comments coming. We’ll be sure to share updates here as we learn more. Thanks again for being part of the conversation!

Hi everyone, thank you for sharing how the current tracking limits impact your reporting and tracking of different aspects of your business and processes. We know this is an important capability.

We’re exploring how we might tackle the needs in this idea and enhance Tracking Categories for the future.

While we can't commit to developments at this stage, we want you to know we hear the support and feedback from our community on this.

We’ll provide another update as the direction for this feature becomes clearer.

Being able to have more than 2 tracking categories is vital to our client NFP organisation reporting under the new Tier 3 reporting requirements. They already track by cost centre & region, and are having to look at making major changes to their Chart of Accounts, to meet the requirements of the new standard as well continue to produce the normal reports the Board wants.

Hi everyone, thanks for your continued feedback and we appreciate you sharing your sentiment here. We’re continuing to evolve the Homepage experience to better meet more of our customers’ needs, and your input is a big part of shaping those improvements.

One of the strongest themes in the feedback has been widget sizing. We’ve now released resize options for the Tasks, Invoices owed to you, Bills to pay, and Net profit and loss widgets, in addition to the Chart of accounts watchlist and Cash in and out widgets.

For the small size Invoices owed to you and Bills to pay widgets, once you’ve saved your Homepage, you’ll also see an option to toggle the chart on or off if you’d prefer to focus just on the figures.

There’s more updates in the works, and I’ll keep sharing further updates with you here.

I'm excited to share a major update that addresses this feedback directly. At Xerocon in September 2025, we announced a new strategic partnership with BGL, a leader in compliance and practice software. Together, we are building a new, deeply integrated Workpapers solution that will be embedded directly within Xero Practice Manager (XPM) and Xero Tax. This new solution is central to our compliance and practice tools roadmap and is designed to provide a seamless experience, leveraging BGL’s expertise in document management. We are pleased to confirm that the ability to add, rename, and reorder supporting documents is a key feature of this new BGL-powered Workpapers solution. This functionality is already available in BGL’s core product, which forms the foundation of our new offering. This means you'll soon have the flexibility to organize your documents as you work, without the frustrating workarounds you've mentioned. The new solution will also enable direct data…

Hi team, thanks for continuing to share and support in this idea.

While our team has continued to consider this idea since our last update, being upfront with you all here we want to share that this isn't in our current roadmap and unlikely to be developed in the near term.

For this reason, we'll move this to Not in pipeline however should anything change this we'll certainly share an update with you all here.

Hi everyone, we appreciate the interest surrounding this idea, however we want to be open that we're unable to extend our log-out time past 60 minutes. Xero hold a lot of sensitive information including bank data and we're required to be as secure as online banking.
Any session information running on a web browser can potentially be stolen. If the session does not time out. You then have an infinitely long vulnerability window to session hijacking. Our best option is to keep a tight expiration window on the session cookie, and regenerate them frequently. Even setting a long timeout doesn't help with this - too long a timeout will greatly increase the risk of invasion or potentially jeopardise your personal data and the safety and integrity of the Xero application itself. This is why we maintain control of this.
If we detect there's been no activity on a page (e.g…
