Hi team, we appreciate and thank everyone for feedback. While we began a roll-out for the notification changes mentioned in my last update, as shared in some of the recent comments this resulted in a fair amount of noise for some customers inbox.
We've made the decision to turn off the recent notifications changes.
We'd like to provide more controls around this so users can set a preference, however this does require a fair amount of work and not something we're able to do right now.
Please know we have keen eyes on this idea and when we're in a position to progress this again I'll share news with you all here. Thanks

Hey team, thanks for all your input on partial asset disposal.
We understand that manually managing parts of an asset can be time-consuming. While we don't have plans at this time to develop a built-in feature, your feedback's really helpful in showing us where things could improve.
For now, manual methods to calculate depreciation and record journal entries to keep things accurate would be the best option.
However, this is a feature that we'd like to revisit as we plan our future roadmaps, and will be happy to share if there is any traction around this. Please keep sharing this idea with any colleagues you feel could benefit from this too.

I contacted Xero help to try to turn off these email notifications and was told there is no option to turn it off and " If you're experiencing issues with these notifications or have concerns about their frequency, the user will need to look into alternative solutions or workarounds that might help manage their notification preferences better." So they are just leaving it up to us to deal with. Seriously unhelpful. Why would they role out a new function without giving users to option to opt in/out for notifications?!?
