Hi everyone, we appreciate all the feedback and votes on this idea. We know using Microsoft Entra ID SSO is now common practice for some businesses and being able to access Xero via a native integration with Entra ID would streamline how your teams log in and get set up in Xero, as well as help in managing access for larger teams and keeping things secure.

Our product team have been working with a small limited group of Partners to develop SSO capabilities. Though we can't give any definite timelines yet, we’ll keep this thread updated with news. Thanks

You make this sound as though it's a nice to have. With the number of cyber attacks currently happening, having single provisioning and access from Entra would enable us to use features like conditional access, centralised logging, and deprovisioning of users from one place without the need to manage it in Xero. Your RBAC is terrible; offering almost no granularity of user management, and there's no way to mandate security controls like MFA centrally. It's really not a nice to have, but a necessity because either you own security needs a tremendous amount of work, or you could just use existing known services like Entra. Xero is fast becoming the old competition that it used to overtake and it's time to wake up.

Hey everyone! Thank you all for supporting this idea.

We agree that having the ability to set a default due date would bring efficiency and consistency to your workflow.

I'm thrilled to announce that we’ve started active work on this feature.

While we can't share a specific release date, please know that our product team is dedicated to building a solution that addresses the pain points you've raised.

We appreciate all of your valuable contributions to improving Xero. We'll post another update here as soon as we have more news to share. 😊

Hi everyone, we’ve taken time to review the suggestion to include custom fields for both invoices and contacts, and recognise the value it'd bring in helping users capture more detailed information and avoid manual processes.

However, with other focuses drawing the teams attention such as multiple addresses this idea is not on our current development roadmap.

As we continue to plan future roadmaps, being highly supported this idea will continue to be considered, however we want to be open about it's current position with you all here. We appreciate you sharing your feedback and for your ongoing participation in the Xero community. Any changes to this status will be shared with everyone on this idea.

The response from Kelly is extremely disappointing. This is undoubtedly a thing which is important to hundreds of customers but perhaps something which is more important than "building on beautiful". I cannot understand why this is so difficult to be honest as in many cases; people would be looking to reference other fields which are there, or just want to add some additional information into fields which, I would hope, you would have as configurable placeholder fields in the tables of the database. If not, a schema extension should be trivial as it wouldn't require adjusting the existing fields; only adding user configurable placeholders which could then be referenced elsewhere. I'm really disappointed with this response as I thought Xero were more customer focused than this. With little functional differences introduced over the last 18 months, I don't know what else your devs could be working on which is of significantly greater importance than real world customer need.

This is absolutely necessary as this may be required to give visibility to reseller customers who are selling products or services on to an end user. This has been open for a long time; please can this get some attention?
