Thanks for sharing your suggestion. I can definitely see how manual it is to add a Christmas bonus or one-off payment line for every single employee individually!
I’ve moved this to Gaining Support. Currently, pay templates in UK Payroll need to be updated one by one, so a "bulk update" tool would be a huge time-saver for larger teams.
I’ve updated the title to "UK Payroll - Bulk add or amend pay items on employee pay templates" to help others find it and add their votes.
Quick Tip for now: If this is a truly "one-off" payment (and not something you want on their template for every month moving forward), the fastest way currently is to add the Bonus pay item directly to the Draft Pay Run. Thanks for this suggestion.
This is a clear idea that would help employees on weekly pay schedules better understand which specific tax week their pay relates to, rather than just seeing the tax month or the date range.
We have marked this idea as Gaining Support so other users can vote and show the Community team how important this addition to the payslip is.
In the meantime, as a temporary workaround, you could manually add the week number to the Payslip Message field on the draft pay run (e.g., "Week 12") before posting it. This message will appear at the bottom of the employee's payslip.

Hi everyone, thanks for voting and your detailed comments on this idea.
We understand the challenge of having to navigate away from the approval screen to find an employee's leave balance. Providing this information directly within the approval screen could streamline the process and reduce the risk of approving leave that results in a negative balance.
The good news is that our product team's reviewed this idea and recognise the value it would deliver. It's something they’d like to work on in the long term. It's not on the roadmap just yet but we'll update you when we're able to bring more focus to this idea.

Hey Community, thanks for all the support shown for this idea. We understand that the core of this request is for business owners and payroll admins to be able to view, edit and complete draft timesheets.
Our product teams have carefully considered this, however we want to be upfront that developing this capability isn't on our foreseeable roadmap at this time.
The idea will remain open for votes so we can continue to gauge interest, as it will be important for when we next review our payroll priorities. Thanks again for sharing with us here, we really do value your input.
