Hi team, we appreciate all the feedback and support this idea has received and understand the desire for wanting to be able to enable staff access to add notes without full edit access to a client.
This isn't in the roadmap at this time, but is a feature our product teams will continue to consider as we keep developing client management. I'll be sure to share if there are any updates surrounding this, here. Thanks

Currently if you restrict staff from being able to edit client records, this will also prevent them from being able to edit relationships for the client which is needed to change percentages to complete tax returns. Accountants do not need to be able to edit client's address, email etc but they still need to be able to edit relationships to be able to complete tax returns. Having another level of permissions would be good to allow them to only be able to change this.
