  1. Hello Xero Support,

    I would like to suggest an enhancement to the customer contact feature for better management of email addresses. Many customers use different email addresses for specific purposes, such as one for receiving tax invoices and another for account statements. Currently, this creates an issue when using the "Send Statement" feature under the Sales Overview, as it can’t send statements to all customers at once when their default email address is designated for tax invoices only.

    It would be helpful to have the option to nominate different email addresses for specific purposes (e.g., "Tax Invoice," "Account Statement," etc.)…

  2. For some time now, I have been experiencing an issue with contact records in XERO.

    As I understand it, XERO will not allow what it considers to be duplicate contacts based on name alone. For example, if I add a customer called Mr Michael Smith, and then a few months later need to add another customer with exactly the same name, XERO will not allow this because that name already exists.

    As a workaround, I might create the second contact as Mr M Smith. If I then need to add a third customer with the same name, I might use…

  3. In Canada we need to file T4A slips for contractors. We can create a group of suppliers/contacts who would need a T4A, and we can create saved custom reports for the transaction lists, and we can add all their details to the contact, but we can't combine all this info into one report. It would be great if we could have a report that let us see both the amounts paid to a contractor AND their contact details in one report that we can then use to prepare the slips. Even better would be an actual workflow that we could…

  4. When sending statements Xero is adding automatic commentary on the associated email about "overdue invoices". In my examples the Xero feature claims that the customer is "Overdue $535" is 100% wrong - customer only owed $39.

    I fully understand why this is. There are unallocated cash payments (overpayments) in the mix.

    There can be a lot of reasons why this is - invoice queries, partial payments, customer terms, errors being resolved, a customer payment that is not easy to reconcile etc etc. but the point is, that these transactions (overpayments) are totally legitimate as far as Xero is concerned.

  5. Could you make the app more user-friendly by reducing the need to log in every time or Ideally, Face ID should be an option for quick access.

    Also, when we receive invoices from Xero, could they be sent as PDF attachments rather than just links? This would make it easier to forward them to Hubdocs via email. Thanks!

  6. Bulk archive option for any contact either supplier and customer with no activity after 2 years or at least being able to run a report for the same inactivity (Smart list does not offer the options needed)

  7. It would be fantastic to attach more than one file when publishing from Hubdoc to Xero! Often bills come with supporting documentation, such as contracts and/or receipts. It would be great to be able to attach these, as well as the original bill to be published.

Hi Xero Support, we have 2 clients carry exactly the same name (eg. both of the client's full name is ALVIN CHUA), understand that Xero contact name serves as the unique identifier for individual client, we just want to know do we allowed to create 2 different contacts for exactly same name (eg. create twice for ALVIN CHUA) in Xero but identify them as different contact via contact account number (eg: HMC001 and HMC011)? And, for invoice import template, possible that Xero help to change the mandatory contact name to mandatory contact account number instead? Contact account number as unique…

  9. The ability to send an outstanding reminder notice to Customers that includes a list of multiple invoice that are outstanding.

    Our customers can have upwards of 40 invoices per month, and for a 30 day EOM customer, I would like to be able to send 1 reminder that their account is past due.
    I don't want to waist time sending individual invoices, or resend a statement, but more a letter that is clearly different from an invoice and statement that outlines what is overdue and how much is due.

    Statements are easily ignored if a customer thinks they have already…

  10. If the ABN was displayed on the Contacts list screen, or when a contact is selected, it would be easier to check you were in the correct Supplier (or Customer) before inputting a new bill/invoice which may avoid errors.

For businesses like ours in construction that need to submit a Taxable Payments Annual Report (TPAR) to the ATO, it would be good if the CONTACT card created for that businesses highlighted (or made compulsory) all information required by the ATO at the time of entering the contact details for the first time.
    A simple prompt of "does this supplier need to be included on your TPAR report" would be helpful; followed by the ATO's compulsory information requirements - eg. email address, abn, phone numbers etc.

  12. In MYOB, the ABN details are automatically verified with a green tick and automatic verification window . Surely Xero could do something similar? Rather than relying on manual verification which is very lame

I like the new feature where you can record Spend Money transactions direct from the Files page, but the whole feature becomes useless if you can't adjust the VAT amount to match that on the voucher/receipt. Switching to 'VAT Exclusive' doesn't give you the ability to amend the VAT value, so if it's out by a penny you have to cancel the operation and record it in the old Spend Money way. Seems a bit silly really.

    So, allow users to adjust the VAT amount when recording Spend Money transactions direct from the Files screen.

  15. Please enable an (optional) contact field for manual journals. We (and everyone else I'm sure) analyse monthly transaction data on a supplier contact level and it is very difficult to do this when the contact field is left blank. Aware you can enter a contact name in the description or use tracking categories but that is a workaround and incredibly inefficient.

  17. Need to identify clients where the Phone/Mobile field has been populated. Currently reporting and exporting options do not separate the populated Client Phone field into Phone/Mobile etc. There is a compatibility issue with ATO SmartDocs not picking up the mobile phone number if it is in the Client's Phone/Mobile field. We need to move these to Phone/Phone field to fix the issue, but currently there is no way XPM can provide a list or report showing clients where their Phone/Mobile field has been populated.

  19. When emailing receipts to Hubdoc, anything written in the email title or body should stay with the receipt. Currently, Hubdoc turns one email into 2 uploads. One upload is the email. One upload is the receipt. It is nearly impossible to know which email matches which receipt. The result is that important documentation is lost. For example, my clients often email a receipt to Hubdoc for meals and they write who was present at the meal and the business purpose into the email's title or body. Those details are required by the IRS but the current Hubdoc system does not…

  20. Instead of manually adding/removing email addresses when sending invoices via Xero, being able to select a contact group to send them to.

    For example, for one of my clients, when I send an invoice from Xero I need to CC 5 different internal people and would rather be able to select a group instead of entering them individually.

    Being able to select a group would be less time consuming for us, and look less clunky for their customer.
