  4. Ability to have duplicate contact names in Xero.

    Hey community, thank you for your continued interest in this idea.

    Wanted to provide an update here as it's been a while since we last spoke to duplicate contacts.

    I do understand that, at face value, this seems like a quick fix. However, as the contacts screen interacts with many other parts of Xero, this work can not commence until the modernisation of other, related systems is complete. 

    Due to this, we do not expect support for duplicate contacts to be delivered in the coming short-term.

    In the meantime however, we're keen to continue collecting feedback and votes on this idea, and I will update you here as soon as there's more work to share.

  5. Ability to have email notification to all users/nominated users when supplier bank account changes.

    Purpose: So all people in Xero orgs will immediately know if there’s any unusual activity in supplier bank account detail.

    Appreciate wanting an update from us here, everyone. We know that having more visibility of when a supplier’s bank account details change is important to you and understand that there are some security concerns around this. This is something our product teams are aware of the appetite for, however we want to be upfront that this feature is not planned in the near future.


    While not a direct solution to what you’re asking here, it’s worth noting that the ability to change supplier’s bank account details is limited by the bank account admin permission. Advisors will have access to the Assurance dashboard where you’ll be able to get an easy view of any Contacts whose bank account details have been edited, and you can also view this information running the History and Notes report.

  6. To provide the option to import new contact(s) to an existing group.

    Purpose: Users can easily put the imported contacts into the existing group once the file is uploaded into Xero.

  7. Ability to export and import Notes that are shown in the contact details section as a column in the exported file.

  9. Allow Hubdoc to publish a receipt to an existing 'BILL' in Xero without creating and new transaction and duplicating the amount. Failure to do this forces the user to upload the receipt directly into Xero files instead or opt not to use the BILL feature in Xero and publish transitions in real time from Hubdoc instead. For those wishing to have all their receipts in a magical shoe box in the cloud (Hubdoc) it appears that this would be a way forward.

    Hi community, we'd like to confirm that enabling phone numbers to be stored against additional people within a contact record is not something we have plans to develop at this time. This may be a function we look to explore in the long-term so we're still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed, and will continue to track this through the conversation here. If there's any change we will let you know on on this idea.

  11. Ability to save a document in Hubdoc to Onedrive for cloud storage.

    Hi community, thanks for sharing how we can improve Hubdoc for your business. While we'll continue to review and consider these sort of integrations overtime, we want to open that we don't have plans to integrate Hubdoc with Onedrive at this time. If there is any change or progress to share around this, we'll return to let you all know on this idea.

  12. To be add the job title of a primary person and additional person in a contact details.
    Xero is not a CRM but to manage the invoicing and bills relationship with contact, it could be great to know the position of the person on the other side.
    It could be a great add-on as to know to whom we are addressing our email in the contact company.

    Hi community, we understand how being able to add a persons job title in contacts would help distinguish and identify within a contact.

    Being open, this isn't something we have plans of for the time being. Right now, though not the ideal solution you could possibly use the notes feature in contacts to add detail of the differentials. We know this won't solve the needs for everyone in the idea but may help for some scenarios.

    If there is any plans made around this we will update you of this, here.

  13. Ability to automatically put customers/contacts in Xero on credit hold.

    Purpose: This is to make staff within the Xero org can’t send the invoice to the customer if they have an overdue payment.

    Hey community,

    As some of you are aware, you can edit a contact and set a credit limit, and optionally block new invoices when the credit limit is reached in new invoicing.

    Understand that a few of you are asking for a feature to put a stop on a contact so they can’t be sent invoices regardless of what their credit limit is, as well as others who'd like to see this implemented on the supplier side.

    We'd like to confirm that this is not something we have plans to develop at this time. We're still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that'd like to see this developed, and will continue to track this through the conversation here 👀

  14. It would be fantastic to attach more than one file when publishing from Hubdoc to Xero! Often bills come with supporting documentation, such as contracts and/or receipts. It would be great to be able to attach these, as well as the original bill to be published.

  15. Please stop Suppliers Bills from being published in Xero if the bill date is prior to the period lock date!!!!

    I only found out last night that Hubdocs will still publish a supplier bill with a date prior to the Xero lock date, this is crazy and I'm unsure why anyone would want Hubdocs to do this.

    If you could add the option in Hubdocs to stop bills from being published in Xero prior to the lock date that would be awesome as it will ensure the integrity of end of period reports.

  16. Add Last Items on Hubdoc invoices - lines to be populated in the same order as the previous one. And/or enable the function to rearrange the line items on a multiple line invoice in Hubdoc (like you can in Xero).

  17. Hubdoc - Allow Hubdoc to read a link in the email.

    When invoices are received via email and the invoice is not attached, but there is a link to open the invoice and save as a PDF. Alot of clients on Xero send their invoices this way. Would be good if either in Xero or Hubdoc you could read the invoice.

  18. Hubdoc should automatically correct the rotation of documents. Sometimes, particularly for photographs, documents are uploaded with incorrect rotation. Hubdoc must know the correct rotation because it is scanning the text. Why not fix the rotation so that the text is the right way up?

  20. Hubdoc. Options to post to Xero are Purchase, Spend money, Invoice (AP) and credit note.
    Can we have a received money option as well please so that I can enter say bar takings from an end of day till report straight to the Tills cash reconciliation report.?

    Thanks for all your engagement on this idea. We understand that the option to post receive money transactions from Hubdoc is important to all who've supported this, however we want to be transparent that this isn't a feature we're currently working on.
