Hi everyone, understand the confusion in some of the recent comments here. To explain how this works at present - A report will automatically default to portrait or landscape mode based on the width of the report. The more columns you add, Xero will automatically switch the layout from portrait to landscape mode.

The same report should not change from user to user, if you're finding this it may be worth checking your printer fit settings and if these differ.

We don't have plans for developing an option of whether a report prints in landscape or portrait mode atm, but our teams are across the interest of this, so if there's any change we'll share an update on this with you, here.

Xero, to not have any plans to address this request is ridiculous do be honest. All these comments and you just ignore the requests? You have so much effort spend in allowing users to customize reports, which is terrific. I actually appreciate and use the customization features on the reporting screens. Its awesome and so very flexible.

Yet to not allow a user to the space on a page better by switching to landscape when exporting to PDF seems baffling. I send reports to users all the time, and these exported reports look awful...amateurish if I dare say so...

My custom report is forced into a vertical orientation. I have tons of white space between columns on the page, yet my description column wraps to two lines because the report is forced into a vertical orientation when a horizontal orientation would (a) be more legible and (b) would allow me and my recipients to print on one page instead of multiple (and yes, some people do still print reports).

I also work across countries, and the switch between US Letter and A4 would be helpful (and something that generally and expected option in any program these days).

Xero team -- you seem to focus on fancy updates but are loosing sight of the basics, like report legibility and printing. And seem to be ignoring the requests of your users. Please fix this.

Hi Brian, appreciate it's not a direct filter option like you're asking here however if you often need to filter by say country or another aspect of your Contact perhaps you may consider creating Contact groups? This way you'd be able to click on the group within contacts when you need.

Being open we don't have any direct plans for adding more filtering to the Contact list atm, but we'll continue to track your idea here and share if there are any plans made.

Appreciate where you're coming from with this idea, Kirsty.

Right now you could create a Contact Group, and have each related contact assigned to that contact group. Get what you're saying with the efficiency when having most of the same details - for now perhaps importing via csv would help create these in less time.

We also have an idea for the ability to copy a contact, and another for contact group statements that you might like to join and follow.

We'll start to get a feel of the interest for this type of feature here, and I'll let you know if there's any change planned.

Hey community, thank you for your continued interest in this idea.

Wanted to provide an update here as it's been a while since we last spoke to duplicate contacts.

I do understand that, at face value, this seems like a quick fix. However, as the contacts screen interacts with many other parts of Xero, this work can not commence until the modernisation of other, related systems is complete.

Due to this, we do not expect support for duplicate contacts to be delivered in the coming short-term.

In the meantime however, we're keen to continue collecting feedback and votes on this idea, and I will update you here as soon as there's more work to share.

We are a service business, and every client we invoice owes a deposit now (30%) to secure the service, and remaining payment (70%) due 45 days prior to service delivery date. This seems like a simple and standard way of operating for a service business, yet it baffles me that you still cannot do this seamlessly and easily in Xero (can do this in competing packages without mentioning any names).

    Xero team…please help!
