Contacts: Statements - Allow to be sent to Contact Groups
Ability to send statements to contact groups.
Purpose: To make users’ easier to send statements rather than sending it individually.
Hi everyone, it’s great to hear the use our customers find in Contact groups on Xero. We can totally get wanting to enhance the use of contacts and bulk send statements to all members of a group at once.
In lieu of this functionality right now, you could manually filter and select contacts from your list before sending statements.
With sights set on helping our customers collect payments faster, we have a team that is looking at work in the reminders and statements space and sending to contact groups is being explored as part of this. For the time being we'll move this idea to In discovery and I'll keep you looped in on any progress that could help needs here.

The manual process of selecting statements to send works for micro businesses, but as a team of 5 with over 300 customers and 3 seniors responsible for sales, we now have to spend time discussing which statements can and can't be sent each month.
Please push this higher on the agenda.

I am sorry we changed our bookkeeping system as this is a major flaw in Xero. We have nearly 1000 accounts and the groups per account is between 25 and 40. 24 groups. It takes me an entire day to send and print statements. This alone would be a reason to change again. Xero seems to think that the requests from customers are not important.
This "idea" was posted by Xero September 2013???

Manually filtering and selecting, in our case, 200 from a list of 500 EVERY MONTH is a ridiculous suggestion. This would be a simple feature to add with a very, very practical and in demand use case. Take it out of discovery and put it in to a priority list, now.

Thanks for the update on contact groups in Xero. Bulk sending statements would save time and improve workflow for many businesses.
Glad to hear this feature is being explored. Simpler tools and smoother user experiences are always valuable, similar to discussions around https://hackdelta.net/هاك-دلتا-ايفون/.
Looking forward to future updates.

This would be a huge time saver for businesses managing large contact lists. Sending statements one by one feels unnecessary when contact groups already exist, similar to how streamlined tools improve workflow efficiency. Even solutions focused on organization and utility, like https://tichop.com/item/large-titanium-cutting-board-dual-sided-101/ this dual-sided titanium cutting board option, show how convenience features can make a big difference. Glad to see this is in discovery and hopefully it gets prioritized soon.

Hi
Also having statements automated to be sent on the 1st of every month to customers would be very helpful.
Thanks

I need to send 'direct debit customers' Statements with a different branding theme. The current workaround is clunky. To be able to send statements for a specific contact group would be a great improvement.

This is the 2nd time I have asked about sending statements from groups. Xero works on changing the dashboard and stuff like that. Please listen to the customers and work on stuff they are requesting.

Please. This feature would be a game changer. it would take away hours of ticking boxes. It seems this question has been asked by hundreds of people yet there is still no change. It would be so helpful

Thanks for the suggestion — being able to send statements directly to contacts would definitely simplify communication and make follow-ups much clearer, especially when handling client billing or updates.
It made me think about how clear communication and smooth workflows matter in other systems too — even in gaming communities. For example, in games like Car Parking Multiplayer, players often share tutorials, tuning setups, and update notes in community groups. When information is clearly organized and easy to send to others (just like a contact statement), it helps everyone stay on the same page and reduces confusion.
Whether you’re sharing financial info or gaming tips, the logic is similar: people want straightforward tools that make it easy to distribute the right info to the right contacts. So I think this feature would be a great quality-of-life improvement. 🙌

If you’re looking for a smooth and optimized gaming experience, having a well-designed game with clean features makes a big difference. A structured interface, stable performance, and properly implemented updates always enhance overall gameplay.
I recently tested a version of Doraemon X APK, and what stood out was how the features are organized to improve user engagement and control. Just like optimized tools make tasks easier, this version focuses on better performance and smoother interaction instead of unnecessary complexity.

Thanks for the response, Kelly. It really was tumble weed in here for a very long time. The suggestion that we can use the filters fundamentally misunderstands the gap. The existing filter on statements suggests "Contact, account no., email or postal address", whereas the functionality being requested aligns for more closely with groups (i.e. lovingly hand-crafted lists that we only wish to lovingly hand-craft, *once*) or smart-lists . Helping your customers collect payments faster is a worthy goal, but the truth is you can only move the needle so far, and the functionality being requested here has far wider use. Think hand-crafted lists. Think (for example) customers that have requested a regular statement vs those who do not. Then within that, customers who want monthly, vs quarterly. Then think customers for whom you would attach one sort of covering email (harsh but fair) vs another (harsh but fair but harsh). Those of us with some experience of development in these environments know how difficult rigging custom groups to drive statements would be so getting a timeline for delivery within the next three weeks, with delivery no later than 31-Mar-2026 would not seem unreasonable. Your immediate thoughts on those timelines would be appreciated.
