Contacts: Statements - Allow to be sent to Contact Groups
Ability to send statements to contact groups.
Purpose: To make users’ easier to send statements rather than sending it individually.
Hi everyone, it’s great to hear the use our customers find in Contact groups on Xero. We can totally get wanting to enhance the use of contacts and bulk send statements to all members of a group at once.
In lieu of this functionality right now, you could manually filter and select contacts from your list before sending statements.
With sights set on helping our customers collect payments faster, we have a team that is looking at work in the reminders and statements space and sending to contact groups is being explored as part of this. For the time being we'll move this idea to In discovery and I'll keep you looped in on any progress that could help needs here.

Thanks for the suggestion — being able to send statements directly to contacts would definitely simplify communication and make follow-ups much clearer, especially when handling client billing or updates.
It made me think about how clear communication and smooth workflows matter in other systems too — even in gaming communities. For example, in games like Car Parking Multiplayer, players often share tutorials, tuning setups, and update notes in community groups. When information is clearly organized and easy to send to others (just like a contact statement), it helps everyone stay on the same page and reduces confusion.
Whether you’re sharing financial info or gaming tips, the logic is similar: people want straightforward tools that make it easy to distribute the right info to the right contacts. So I think this feature would be a great quality-of-life improvement. 🙌

If you’re looking for a smooth and optimized gaming experience, having a well-designed game with clean features makes a big difference. A structured interface, stable performance, and properly implemented updates always enhance overall gameplay.
I recently tested a version of Doraemon X APK, and what stood out was how the features are organized to improve user engagement and control. Just like optimized tools make tasks easier, this version focuses on better performance and smoother interaction instead of unnecessary complexity.

If you’re looking to make managing contact groups easier, it’s crucial to have tools that streamline repetitive tasks without overwhelming your workflow. On a similar note, I recently explored a modded game, Haunted Dorm MOD APK, and it struck me how well-structured features make complex tasks more manageable. Just like automated group statements save time in messaging, the mod gives you unlimited resources and intuitive controls, letting you focus on strategy rather than grind. Thanks for the response, Kelly. It really was tumble weed in here for a very long time. The suggestion that we can use the filters fundamentally misunderstands the gap. The existing filter on statements suggests "Contact, account no., email or postal address", whereas the functionality being requested aligns for more closely with groups (i.e. lovingly hand-crafted lists that we only wish to lovingly hand-craft, *once*) or smart-lists . Helping your customers collect payments faster is a worthy goal, but the truth is you can only move the needle so far, and the functionality being requested here has far wider use. Think hand-crafted lists. Think (for example) customers that have requested a regular statement vs those who do not. Then within that, customers who want monthly, vs quarterly. Then think customers for whom you would attach one sort of covering email (harsh but fair) vs another (harsh but fair but harsh). Those of us with some experience of development in these environments know how difficult rigging custom groups to drive statements would be so getting a timeline for delivery within the next three weeks, with delivery no later than 31-Mar-2026 would not seem unreasonable. Your immediate thoughts on those timelines would be appreciated.

I had a bit of a serious play over the weekend in Lutra to set this up and I did get it working - in the end!! Xero's API doesn't allow me to directly send the statements from Xero but I managed to re-create a statement that looked pretty reasonable. Might spend a bit more time on it to refine the process as it's still ropey - but good to know it's possible. Helen@livingbusiness.co.nz

this is so important for us to send statements for each directors groups when requested, rather than working down a print out and searching for each client individually!

I have 21 groups. My statements have to be printed accordingly. It is time consuming having to pick the customer according to their group. Why have groups if we can't use them to print statements from?

This would save a lot of time manually sorting so that we can send branded invoices to different groups of customers.

We utilise the client groups in Xero Blue's contact list, but are unable to generate a debtors statement by those groups, without having to tick each individual card separately in a statement run. It would be helpful to be able to view and generate statements by our existing groups.

i am looking to move companies over from QB however there are simple items that would make the move inefficient.
I have clients with Customers that have multiple branches and delivery locations but all invoices go to the headquarters. So when we print statements we can generate one statement for the whole group.
In addition with payments are made from the one parent company it can be applied to any of the "sub" locations. No need to break the payment up and reenter it multiple times to record a payment.
Another client has customers that have "jobs" being run as sub customers so they can cost each job out and follow it yet all invoices go to the same customer.
Why this is not present I cannot fathom as it would be such a time saver.
Also why the chart of accounts does not have sub-account capability is another brain puzzle. I don't have a single client that does not utilize sub-accounts for better reporting
