235 votesHi team, we appreciate all the feedback this idea has received over time. With our reimagined navigation this is something our product teams considered closely, however there is a bit of work involved to achieve what's being asked and we want to be open it's not in the roadmap right now. However, we're keeping a pulse on the feedback here and will be sure to share if there's any progress. Thanks

I would like to request a usability improvement for the new Xero interface.
Currently, the top navigation bar (Home, Sales, Purchases, Accounting, etc.) and the organisation name disappear when scrolling. Because these elements are not fixed, users often lose visibility of which organisation they are working in while entering data or reviewing long pages.
This has already caused several situations where data was accidentally entered into the wrong organisation. It’s not a user error — it occurs because the organisation name is not always visible, which makes it difficult to stay oriented during detailed data entry.
Proposed solution:
Please make the top menu and organisation header sticky (frozen in place), similar to “Freeze Panes” in Excel. Keeping the organisation name and navigation visible at all times would:Prevent accidental entry into the wrong organisation
Improve accuracy
Reduce scrolling fatigue
Enhance workflow speed
Make navigation easier and more intuitive
This small UI enhancement would have a big impact on users who manage multiple organisations.
Thank you for considering this improvement.

I would like to request improvements to the Journal Report to make it more user-friendly for accountants and bookkeepers.
Currently, reversal journals and their original entries appear together, which makes the report difficult to read and slows down review during month-end and year-end close.
Please consider adding these enhancements:
1. Preferred enhancement: Reversal Filters
Please add filter options to control visibility of reversal-related journals:
• Show or hide original journals
• Show or hide reversal journals
• View only normal (non-reversal) journals
This would keep the full audit trail intact, but make the report much cleaner and easier to analyze.
2. If Option 1 cannot be implemented: Add a Journal Source filter
As an alternative solution, please add a simple Journal Source selector (for example):
• System
• Reversal
This would still allow users to quickly identify and sort reversal journals even if full reversal filtering cannot be added.
3. Visual indicators for reversals (very important)
Please highlight reversal journals using red text or a small label.
This makes reversals instantly visible.
Our eyes naturally detect color differences faster than reading text, so red text helps users quickly spot reversal entries and understand the audit trail more clearly.
Why this matters
These improvements would:
• Make the Journal Report significantly clearer and easier to use
• Reduce confusion caused by reversal pairs appearing together
• Speed up month-end and year-end auditing
• Improve accuracy when reviewing automated journals
• Enhance overall usability while keeping the audit trail fully intact
Thank you for considering these enhancements — they would meaningfully improve the Journal Report for all Xero users.
